Well you can always sell it on ebay, I'm sure you'll find someone who would buy it, or just keep it as a collectible. The japanese case is super nice :-)

I contacted them and they said they're shipping it tomorrow and I should receive it between Tuesday and Wednesday :-)!!

Today, I was able to play the game for at least two hours, so I'm pretty much ready to go online on Friday evening and Saturday weekly.

My character and town names are now changed, given that I couldn't find any way to type a kanji and I'm being limited with 6 letters for both of those.
My new character's name is "JCn8or", and the one for my town is "きのこ" (it's "kinoko", which basically translates into Mushroom).

Oh my god.. and here I was - not sure if I should admit I did the same thing!!! I'm not the only one!!! I too, impatiently bought the digital copy on day 1 because play-asia took forever to update my preorder (THEY SHIPPED IT TODAY) well worth it for me.

BTW - I'm hoping since we're all adding each other - has anyone unlocked the club yet or something? Tomorrow is Saturday XD I was hoping someone would have unlocked it so we could all hang out and listen to some K.K.

Okay guys I got my Japanese 3ds but it wont turn on...
I opened the box, and i plugged it into the charger and the charging light will glow orange for 3 seconds then turn off, and it will not turn on. i pressed the power button, held it down, nothing.

This isn't looking good... I can't find any particulars to match your exact problem - but people have had problems with it not turning on.. the solution was to contact Nintendo and get it repaired/have them send you a new one D': who did you order it from?
 
I fixed it! It didn't have a battery so I put the one from my old 3DS in it (:
I posted my code, and added everyone! So everyone add me please (:

here's an idea for you guys (I know it would help me, and i did it too!) for the message in "friends list" i put mine as my username on TBT to help because theres a lot of us, and it'll be hard to remember the names, I know I'm better at usernames!
So i put my friendcode message as my username!
Just an idea (:

Gah!! Great idea!! XD People with different names - I look on my friends list like Huh? @0@ except for Mint because I've been swapnote-ing. XD I shall do that! Good idea! And I'm SO GLAD you got it fixed :'O I know you've been waiting patiently for your game/3DS so I was hoping you wouldn't have any trouble! BTW - why didn't it have a battery? O_o how peculiar... anywho - once again - SO GLAD you figured it out!! :D

it turns out when you buy on eBay or Amazon, it's illegal to ship Japanese lithium batteries on those sites, and all the 3DS's say that but i didn't pay close enough attention ... but it's all good! i ordered an American one for $8 :p until then, I'm using the one from my old 3DS which I'm trying to sell (:
