.

I'm not unable to plot reset, I just find it too tedious to bother doing. So as a result, I have villagers mess up stuff sometimes too. :(

I hope the next main AC game fixes that somehow.

Aww my Melba ruined your path!!! (I miss her already)

In my first town I didn't plot reset but I didn't lay paths in my town until a lot later so I just worked the paths around all my houses and plot reset for the last 2 (my town was already too developed at the time so I had to ruin a few areas of forest for it). It definitely sucks.. especially since I can't control the move ins through the void or wifi so I can never predict those or reset for them...

This. I TRIED, I really did, but after a few hours it was not worth it to me. I figure I'll just make it work! :>

Ah, that sucks. I only have place for a secondary character, and I don't think I'm gonna need more.

I cycle through a lot of villager and only reset for my dreamies, so they pick bad places too. Two of them decided by the Caf? is the best place...

But in my current town, my dream villager were very generous and the longest I had to plotreset was 2 hours.

villagers can move into a small area unlike human villagers. they know how to be a jerk. anyway, maybe u could work around their houses and move the paths?

aw man, that sucks! i plan on waiting to add my fourth character till after i've got all my dreamies for this very reason.

Awe, I'm really sorry what happened! I remember when that happened in my town. At first, I didn't plot reset at all and I got a random move in and they planted their house right in front of mine. It took about a month to make them move and since then, I had to check if there isn't a plot down whenever I have 9 villagers. Like crystalchild said, it's better to wait until you get all your dreamies to make a new character so that way you won't have to encounter villagers moving into horrible spots. Hope you can work around their houses tho!

I didn't know about plot resetting until a few weeks ago. So in my newest town, I reset all the time. But I never did before. And those jerks KNOW exactly where you don't want them, and they put their houses there just to mess with you. I don't know how they know, but they do. And they ruin your whole town.

They are cruel and evil. I'm so glad I discovered plot resetting on youtube just as I was starting my town of Pallet. I don't really care where they put their houses, just as long as it's not in one of the 4 places I plan on putting projects or designs. And because of plot resetting, I got Cherry to put her house right next to mine. I think it's fitting, since she's Uchi. And one of my dreamies :) I love her so much.

i gave up on plot resetting after my last town, it was just way too much work. luckily no one has moved into a terrible spot [yet]

IMo its really worth it, once a villager moved right where my second chracter was gonna be, I plot reseted after that

I didn't make a fourth character just so that I would be able to plot reset. I don't really need four anyway, 3 is more than enough for me. In my main town I only plot reset to make sure nothing gets wrecked but I'm not strict about it. In my second town I hardcore plot reset and to be honest, while it looks nice and organized it's kind of...boring. Maybe once I get more involved in that town it'll be better, but I admit I regret it now but I've already done it.

I feel your pain! I have four human characters in my Goblin town...there were only going to be three, but then I couldn't build as many custom signboards as I needed to, and I had to add a fourth character (Hoggle) to hold patterns. He wound up being one of my favorite parts of the town, which is great, but when I added him I only had nine villagers and no good place to add a tenth. Basically, his house took up the space I would have used for the tenth villager.

What this amounts to is that, because I can't risk getting someone's voided villager who will move into a bad spot no matter what--because there are no good spots--I can't Wi-Fi with anyone except for my mayor Athelwyn of Ruddyoak--I can guarantee her void is clear, but I can't guarantee anyone else's. :( I feel bad about it, too, because people sometimes ask to tour the town.

Awe that sucks that you aren't able to plot reset. usually everyone waits until they get all their dreamies first and then they start working on their town whether you are ble to plot reset or not.

I'm new. Honestly I focused on getting the villagers I wanted so I could create my path around where they live. I'm getting close to done and I actually like how it is turning out.

While them ruining your paths must be frustrating, I'm sure it's not as bad as trying to plot reset for a perfect line-up and resetting like 20000 times and it's 5am and your eyes are bloodshot and your alarm is going to go off in 1 hour but you just need to try one more time to reset... oh and there's your alarm, time for school! Or not... maybe you can skip class today, this plot reset is way more important, and then the rest of the day goes by and and it's 8pm of the following day and you've missed all of your classes and you FINALLY placed the house where you wanted and you just pass out from exhaustion. But now you're behind on a few lectures and you missed a day or two's worth of homework...

This has happened way too many times to me... T__T Im so irresponsible lol

This is why I waited to make my fourth character until I was sure all my villagers were keepers. And then stripped down, deleted, and later rebuilt that character's house on the three occasions after that that I decided to replace one of my villagers. One of the main reasons it took me so long to earn my gold bell badge is because of how often I would do this (with fully expanded houses even), sometimes to plot reset and sometimes just to move the house to a different spot lmao. No regrets!!

I couldn't risk anyone plotting on my paths or flowerbeds so I cleared everything out of one of my villagers, deleted them now I'm working on rebuilding their house. I had a difficult time with laying down paths in straight lines so it was worth it for me.
