I've been trying to get a good layout for like 4 hours now and it's grating on me. I have some questions.

1. Why do my maps have so many ponds? On the map thread most people's maps have 0-2, but mine usually have like 3-5.

2. Is there a way to make the process faster other than talking through Rover's thing?

3. Do the generated maps come in a category, so I can reset faster if its not the right one?

hate to break it to you but it took me a solid month before i found the town i was looking for, if you're super specific you'll need to be prepared for a lot of resetting.

it just depends. there's always going to be one pond (usually more) but it's just random.

afraid not, eventually it became second nature to me though so i could go through the rover process without looking at my screen, i recommend watching a tv show or listening to music

and i don't think so, i'm afraid it seems to be totally random, you could try hard resetting but i doubt it would do anything

1. 0-2 ponds? I thought all towns came with at least 1. 0 ponds would make it impossible to finish your fish encyclopedia without visiting other towns. I don't know how pond generation works, but it seems to come down to chance. I'm sure that the reason most people's maps on that thread only contain 1-2 is that those players are all very concerned about their maps and spent the time resetting to get those maps. I know a lot of people who'd consider themselves lucky if they spent only four hours map resetting, let alone plot-resetting.

2. None, aside from mashing the A button faster.

3. Are you talking about the batches of maps that Rover presents you? It seems the maps chosen are random. If it helps, this page has a chart showing all the possible rivers. The six large boxes contain the same river source, and each row contains the same waterfall.

I keep accidentally typing in things I'm reading or thinking about into the name area because I've gotten so used to it lol. I've already written the words season and friday as my name without paying attention. I know what layout I want it's just that it never seems to appear :(

This probably won?t help a lot but it just needs patience, luck and plenty of time to find the map you`re after. Take breaks when you accidentally type in something else. Or settle for a nice map with another layout.

I have 2 pounds, I only had to reset 3 times? I only really wanted a town that had Retail Next to the station ^,^
Its just Besides Merengue moving in the middle of my path and instead of the pink dot I had my villagers placement doesnt matter since once I get the pwp's from them I can finally achieve my dream villagers and they will moved out

so basically the 5 villagers on the top of the map Will be moved out and my 5 other villagers will be moved to the bottom c:
