I have three famous mushrooms I can sell. The bid applies to all three combined, not one at a time. If you win the auction, you win all three of them, not just one.

Each mushroom is 350 at the shop price, so I'm gonna put 1,050 as the starting bid.

Rules:

1. There is no snipe guard. The auction ends at the time I set it at.
2. You cannot withdraw from the auction. The only exceptions are if you don't have enough TBT or if it was unintentional. Quitting because of other bidders being rude to you is not an exception.
3. Do not get rude to me or other bidders.

Starting bid is 1,050 TBT
Minimum bid is 50 TBT
Maximum bid is 250 TBT

The reason why I set a maximum bid was to prevent bidding wars.

Auction ends at 11:00 PM on October 4th, CST.

I just don't get it. Every time I run an auction since the balloon one last year, nobody wants to bid. Is it because I'm expecting the buyer to buy three mushrooms at once? Is it because the rule where they cannot withdraw from the auction is discouraging them to bid? Or is it that they don't want to specifically buy from me after the star wand thing? I need the TBT, and the rules were set there for a very good reason. I should probably cancel the auction if it's going to be too unpopular.

Now I care more about reasoning than bids.

theres no snipe guard so ppl are obv just gonna wait last min so they can get it as cheap as possible ?\_(ツ)_/?

I was actually more worried about the second rule. But if you look back at the party popper auction I ran in April of 2015 (I have a strong memory), you can see why I added the "no snipe guard" rule, "cannot withdraw from auction" rule, or "maximum bid". Plus, the snipe guard is against the site rules and guidelines. I don't want to see bidders receive infractions or negative wi-fi ratings.

I probably would be better off waiting till the mushroom leaves the TBT shop. Auction will continue.

Pretty sure snipe guards are allowed as long as you state that there is one beforehand or at least I think that's what the rules imply:

"Increasing or decreasing auction time is not allowed by default. It is considered a special right and must be reserved in the auctioneer's original post before bidding begins.
The last person to bid on an auction within the scope of its rules and time limits is the winner. Auctioneers cannot choose another winner even if someone else makes a better offer after it ends."

Thanks for telling me.

Yeah, next time I auction an item, I'm not going to say whether or not a snipe guard is in effect. Yeah, I wouldn't be in favor of a snipe guard, but if announcing it is going to make people not bid until the last minute, I should not even mention in the OP. But I honestly think sniping in an auction is fair. I don't get why they prefer to not bid until late, but I'm poor in TBT too. That's why I'm selling them.

I also got to make sure that it's popular. Some collectibles won't sell because of how unpopular they are, even if you price it low. Plus, I should auction one item at a time.

However, I would keep the rule where the highest bidder can't withdraw from the auction then pick another bidder. I don't want my future auctions to be like the party popper auction.

It's also possible that some people may not want 3 mushrooms

That's true too.

How about this. I won't cancel the auction, but I hope for no bids until the time ends so I can save these mushrooms for another auction (where i only sell one).
