2DS or 3DS?

3DS. 2DS can be dropped, stepped on, and will break easier. The top screen is thick, AND you hold it ON THE TOP SCREEN.

As a 2DS user, I really like her but I've only bought one because I couldn't spare that much money for a 3ds XL. It's a cool console and I love her to bits, and even though I'll have to upgrade to a XL (probably a n3DS) I don't know how I'll bear the thought of leaving her behind :(

But yeah, as much as I love my 2DS, I highly recommend the 3DS if you can afford one. It should always be the first choice, unless you prefer the 2DS design. which is pretty cool and very comfy fight me

The 2 DS's design really turns me off. Unless you like that design or you just strongly dislike the 3D function or you just don't have the money, i would get the 3DS... I'd especially get it now that the New 3DS is coming out (hoping to get one if they make a white XL)

I'd get the 3DS. Aside from the price and physical design, the 2DS is nothing worth getting.

2DS isn't really portable (try fitting it in your pocket), but saves cash.
If you're European, the New Nintendo 3DS just released, so if you want those new features and easy portability, go for it.
New Nintendo 3DS XL is out everywhere though, and that's America's only choice for a New 3DS, bit bigger but I think it still barely fits in your pockets. I wouldn't get the normal 3DS/3DS XL unless you really dont care about the New 3DS features.

If I were you, i'd go with the 3DS (preferably the "New" 3DS). The 2DS is cheaper, but overall, it's much more inferior compared to the regular 3DS or the "New" 3DS (especially to the "New" 3DS). The "New" 3DS has the clamshell design, 3D capabilities (with enhanced 3D face-tracking capabilities), the c-stick (which, if you're playing a game like Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, it should be very, VERY helpful), built-in amiibo support (if you're not interested in amiibos, ignore this), stereo sound (2DS only has mono), bigger screens, longer battery life, etc. Even if you just look at the regular 3DS, it has 3D capabilities, the clamshell design, stereo sound, longer battery life, and bigger screens (only bigger if you get the XL) while the 2DS simply doesn't.

Overall, I think it really depends on how many games you want. Are you only looking to buy 2 or 3 3DS games to play, or are you planning on buying many 3DS games? If you're only planning on buying 2 or 3 games, just buy a 2DS. If you're planning on playing a lot of 3DS games, purchase a regular 3DS or a "New" 3DS.

They are both good in my opinion. Considering I have the new 3ds, which is better 3d experience, I still don't use it that often.

The New 3DS XL! I have one and it's amazing. The 3D and web browser is a lot better too.

3DS. I just love the 3D! And if you don't like 3D, you can always turn it off. Plus it closes and I don't know why but it just bugs me that you can't close a 2DS.

I'd say 3DS. Sure they are more costly, but they have a nicer more portable design. The 3D seems a bit silly at first but is actually pretty good once you get used to it. I use it all the time, but if you don't like it you can always turn it off.
