Haha sure. You can tell a good pokemon from others based on their IVs.
You usually want a pokemon with 5-6 IVs.
(which all of the pokemon in my shop are)
You also need to ev train, have the right nature/item, right moves, so much stuff. xD

It's crazy complex. This is only my second Pokemon game so I'm hoping that if I start looking into it more or asking questions, that I'll start absorbing it like a sponge, lol. And sounds good.

OMG! Your list of shinies is really impressive! I've always wanted a shiny vulpix! (to then evolve it to shiny Ninetales!) Your shiny vulpix with modest nature and flash fire ability is looking really appealling right now. Might decide to buy it... 
The problem is: I got Alpha Sapphire for christmas and I am guessing this is only for Pokemon X/Y (I have Pokemon X). I feel like buying an absolutely amazing pokemon for a game I probably won't be playing very much anymore a little... I dunno... Useless?

Yes these pokemon are tradeable through both games so it works for ORAS.
