Hi there,

Apologies if there's many threads on this! I just haven't had any luck on the cycling method these are credited by TBT and Reddit

details here;
(https://www.belltreeforums.com/threads/guide-cycling-cycling-towns-updated-12-6-16.349624/)

I tried this method, but after the first try, the second try doesn't work..
10th September 2016: Poncho in boxes.
TT 1 year 5 days back to 5th September 2015.
TT 1 year forward to 5th September 2016 and get "You haven't been here in a while!"
TT 7 days forward and get "All done! Oh, by the way, blablabla is moving out today. Saying goodbye might be a nice thing to do as the mayor."

New fixed method #2:
TT 1 year 5 days back
TT 1 year forward
TT 7 days forward

Is it possible I could be doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated!

For me, the method of 1 year 5 days back, 1 year forward, and 7 days forward always seems to work fine for me. Really, for the first step, you could even TT one day forward if you want, or even 50 years in the past (lol) because the game treats that as one day forward. Time traveling any day the past is treated as if you played the next day. I guess TTing specifically 1 year and 5 days back seems to be more organized, but that’s just me. Obviously, you should start with a villager in boxes and then start the process. After you completed step 1 and 2 (the 1 year 5 days back, 1 year forward steps) walk around a bit in your town. You should see a villager house plot for a new villager’s home. TT 7 days forward and someone should be moving out already in boxes. That should be pretty much it. I’m not too good at explaining things, and I’ve been doing this method for a while and I didn’t have too many problems.
Did you by any chance invite any villagers from the campsite to live in your town? That sort of messes things up and I usually keep time traveling forward until someone is in boxes and start the 3 step process all over again. I am not really sure about anything else, but keep trying, and good luck!
