Nothing important will happen.

Could be useful, probably won't be since the US is ********.

******** as *censored.3.0* and the middle class gets shafted.

my question is:

It's Obama's excuse to bring socialism into power..

This is for health care for everyone:

Let's just use Susie Q. as an example.

Susie Q. over here has a husband in the military, and 4 children, one of which was born a few months ago. Susie Q. is working a 14-hour day while her children stay with her parents. Well, Susie Q.'s five year old son catches swine flu and needs to be hospitalized, and she is already struggling to get food on the table. MEANWHILE, Bob has just received a fully furnished condo, and he has a son who suddenly catches a mild cold. Bob rushes his son to the hospital, and immediately gets a room for him to stay in (I'm not saying this would actually happen, just for the sake of example). Does that sound fair? Susie Q. is working her butt off to get a chance for her son to survive, and Bob is sitting back watching his son get full treatment for something that could be treated with OTC medicine.

While the scenario you described is a bit exaggerated, you need to look at the state of health care in countries where they utilize the system we're trying to put into place. In some ways it is good, in some, bad.

We don't need this huge overhaul. I can think of several less problematic solutions.

I know it was, but it can happen.. And that's another thing. America, or the president trying to make America, equal to other countries in terms of education and things like this.

Dohoho, education. We're already clocking in more hours than the countries that kick our ass in math scores and the like. It's unfortunate that this doesn't tip them to the obvious fact that the amount of time we're spending in school isn't the problem.

That's what made me mad, it's the ignorant people. Sometimes when you dig your whole too deep, there's no going back.

I guess were on the same side of this debate then?

What, that the people in power are doing an incredibly half-assed job of running the country and are potentially doing more harm than good with the changes they want to bring into place?

Then yes.

That they have sat on their butts for years and now they want to take interest.

Keeping kids in school until dinner time isn't going to do anything.

WE NEED AN ANTAGONIST

People say socialistic healthcare sucks, not really.
The UK, Germany, New Zealand, and almost all other European nations have socialistic healthcare. They have much shorter waits than the US. The only thing that takes longer is elective surgeries. But if you want those, just go to a private doctor. The one exception of the rule is Canada, and people use that as an excuse to *censored.4.0* against Congress and the president.

First off Obama is the president, not the legislator... he just allows legislature through if he approves of it. There is no way he could be "officially ********", given they test these things in school, and he wasn't. If all you have to say is a flame with nothing to contribute, please rethink your post.

Second, what is wrong with socialism? People fling it around like it is a bad thing, but what is wrong with it? People worry their money is going to go to lazy people who should have done something with their life, but you know what being a good person is? Being a good person is being there to offer that second chance to people who fail. Socialism can do that.

As far as education goes I really don't know. I think summer vacation while fun no longer has the same value as it once did thanks to something called air conditioning if your school has it. Just this from my knowledge in psychology on learning would help, while later days probably wouldn't much.

I am fairly certain ATWA seems to be against the government no matter who is in power... but just from his last thing talking of how they sat on their butts and now want to do something.... well isn't it a good thing they are taking interest? and that is kinda reflective of how a different party came into power.

Socialism does't seem like a very bad thing to me.
It's very bad, it means that if you work hard and struggle to provide for your family, and someone else is just lazy and doesn't do anything, they're going to to be able to have access to the same things as you do.

Bottom line is that everybody has equal rights, and society has one social class.
