Julian moved out about, 2-3 weeks ago, and I'm trying to do the 16 villager method. It's pretty tedious because I have most of my dreamies and one moved out in the process of cycling him back. He was my favorite villager, but I don't want to do all this work to get him back, or risk losing even more of my dreamies.

How many Dreamies do you currently have in your town? If you have every Dreamie, and Julian is the only one that accidentally left, it's recommended to cycle out a few of your other Dreamies. This is just so that there's a higher chance of getting the cycle villager out. Trust me, I lost Chrissy and I only got in one cycle villager at a time, and it took them a long time to move. I gave up after 6 out of 16.

If you made a few Dreamies leave, it'll definitely make it easier. In my town, I accidentally received Hazel and I didn't have any of my Dreamies yet, so it was extremely easy to cycle through 16 unwanted villagers. Took me ~a week to complete it.

Oh and if you want a good cycling method, try this;
1) Load up on a day where a villager pings you to tell you that they want to move. Tell them no (if you want them to stay)
2) After they changed their mind, save and quit
3) TT 6 days ahead in one go. Save and quit
4) TT 6 days back in one go
5) Run around the town and find the villager that's thinking of moving
6a) If it's the right villager, then tell them goodbye
6b) If it's the wrong villager, tell them no, and repeat this method until you get the right villager.

I wish you luck through your cycle ^^

It's probably not worth it unless you'd sell your most valuable possession for him. I'd go with another smug, there are plenty of good designs of them out there.

I would say if he is your ultimate dreamie then it is but if you are going to cycle for one villager then move another out and cycle for two of them so you always have two in town you want to move out since I heard the latest move in is hard to move out.

If you're scared of losing more of your dreamies, then I don't think it's worth it. However, if you're willing to let some of your dreamies go to get Julian back, then I'd say go for it, since cycling will be easier then. It really just depends on how much you like Julian.
