Did you recently visit someone over wifi?

If someone you visited had a villager who moved out not Long ago, they get out into an "outbox" of sorts for a bit and they end up moving to someone else's village.
It happened to me with Hazel. She parked her Unibrow butt into 3 different towns of mine before she finally went to the ACNL abyss

they can get in from visiting other towns, or from streetpass!

I got a villager from someones town when they came to visit me. I'd never been to their town. I assume the villager was in their "outbox" thing. You have to be very careful. :\

If you only have 9 villagers, you have room for 1 more. Whether you get them via wifi or campsite is another story though :>
