It’s another guessing giveaway, of course. In order to win, you have to be the first to guess the correct answer.

Although I didn’t enter the main series of Pokémon until Gen VII, I knew Pokémon back when I was in the first grade (back then, only the first generation Pokémon existed). I even had toys based on Pokémon, and played the spin-offs and watched the anime, long before Pokémon Sun and Moon came out. If you can guess what was the very first Pokémon to be my favorite Pokémon, I will reward you 100 TBT.

The only hint is that it’s a Gen I Pokémon.

Yes, Charmander was the very first Pokémon to be my favorite, back when I was in the first grade. I never played the main games until I was 23, but I played the spin-offs and had toys. I even had one of those toy sets distributed by TOMY where one of the two Pokémon included was Charmander (the other was Eevee, which eventually became my favorite Pokémon). Nowadays, Charmander isn’t even my favorite starter. That goes to Popplio. As for Oddish, I did like it a lot as a kid, but it didn’t become one of my favorites until last year when I played Let’s Go Pikachu.
