I was playing the GameCube AC earlier today and reminiscing about how with those huge town maps you can have up to 15 villagers at once... 15!!

My NL town is now full with all 10 of my dreamies, but every once in a while there will be someone really adorable in the camp site and I can't have them :( it makes me go "GOSH DARN IT" or something to that extent.

Yeah, blah blah blah, I understand that with the size of the town maps and the DS memory that it makes sense there can only be 10 villagers, I get it, don't lecture me. :p but still, sometimes I think I would do just about anything to be able to move in more villagers that I love, past my breached 10 limit.

Anything beats Wild World's 8 villager limit though. You could hardly call that a village, it was more like a dinner party..

BUT I JUST LOVE TOO MANY OF THE VILLAGERS! I wanna hug 'em all! It was really hard deciding what dreamies I wanted because there's so many cuties. I tried to get one of each personality type and a variation in species which I didn't do with my last town..

Have you guys been faced with the tough decision to choose between villagers you really love due to the limit? Or did you already know exactly which 10 you wanted? :c

Ugh, I know right. Although I'm soon to have all 10 of my dreamies, I'm facing a tough decision with whether I should replace Flurry with Willow. Or maybe Pietro. Or maybe replacing Marshal with Pietro. Or maybe replacing Flurry with Cookie. Ugghh just I don't know. Or maybe Chevre. GAH I CAN'T STOP. It's like once I get my dreamies, I'm never fully happy with them, I'm always switching them up. Can't wait for the day I'm satisfied, or the day I get a second copy.

Part of the reason why 10 isn't enough is because of the appeal of the villagers in "Animal Crossing: New Leaf." At the same time, 10 can be enough because, as a town's mayor, you're tasked with delivering services to your villagers.

I was considering buying a second copy for the same reason. It would start off as a cycling town until I got the ones I wanted. But then I'm sure I'd find more I wanted & never be fully satisfied with it... What a dreadful cycle. Haha.

I never get tired of helping my villagers with their requests, honestly.
I just hate how they're always asking me to change their greeting and catchphrase. They say it's "gone stale" or that another villager told them to change it after only one day. Smh. Just say something & stick with it, guys!

tell me about it. that's why I decided on buying a second copy to have 10 extra villagers.

Do you have dream villagers, or do you just keep whichever ones you feel like keeping?

For me it was so hard to narrow it down to 10 :c

I used to get my Dream Villagers, but I felt like it was too stressful so now I just get villagers from the Campsite. I think it's nice to have villagers I haven't had before. I'm also pretty lucky since so far I've had pretty decent villagers in the Campsite like Tia and Vesta.

I wish we could extend it to 15. There are a lot I'd like to have, but I only have 3 villagers I'd want to move out at this point so once I get in 3 more that I really don't want to give up, I'd be stuck.

That situation is one that drives me nuts.

In my old town I had 9 of my dreamies with 1 left to go. Then I got a villager from someone else's void on accident. Since that was the last one to move in, I had to let one of my older dreamies go to replace her with a new one. Situations like that are what scare me most about trying to get the last few to complete a town..

I think towns would have to be a little bigger to have more room for villagers without giving up room for PWPs. The idea of a bigger town with more villagers sounds unappealing to me, but I'm sure some people would like that a lot. It sounds like something for a console AC game.

Yeah, that's what I said in my original post, the towns aren't big enough for more villagers. Haha.
I'm sure we'll have bigger towns in the next AC game if it's for a console, the towns in GC and City Folk were huge. Now that you mention it, I actually do kind of like the smaller towns a little better... let's put the villagers in apartments! jk

If they're in apartments then wouldn't that be the same as tomodachi life? That would be kinda boring then...
A bigger town would be much better. If people can make awesome towns with the limited space they have now, think of all the different designs they would be able to do with even more space. it probably would have been smarter for the, to include the cafe and police station on Main Street though since those are permanent places.
I would definitely wish that there were more villagers, maybe 16 just because there's 8 villager types, we can repeat 2 of each. I hate the fact that I have to choose 2 repeats personalities. It sucks having to choose just ten and even though I love all my dreamies and worked hard to get them all, it would be so much better if I just didn't have to give up some that I came to really like that used to live in my town.

Aaaaaand that's why I bought a second copy ;w;
But I find that Francine, Chrissy and Genji must be in my two towns. Love those cute lil rabbits so much <333

I wish they would let us decide where to place the villager houses. It'll make my life so much easier especially for my first town that I resetted. I need them to be aligned down a long strip of land rip my life

Man I wish I had the money to buy a second copy, but alas my woes of being a broke college student lol

They really should have let us decide or have designated spots or something. It sucks when a random WiFi villager moves in and destroys your lovely flower garden. It's even worse that it can take forever to plot reset them. I could barely get half of my villagers where I wanted them.

Yep, 15 villagers sounds about right.

That way my town is completely filled with the villagers I love to death.

I said the same thing to someone yesterday. I wish the maps where a little larger and that we could have 12 to 15 villagers.

I think it's just the amount of memory or processing power that the DS has, as someone mentioned earlier. The console towns like in GC and CF are always much larger, but I agree it'd be super cool to have a big town on the handheld systems, which are my favorite.

If the Cafe and Police Station were on Main Street, that would free up quite a bit of room. Right now I have my favorites per each personality, but any more room and I'd need enough for one per species plus extra. xD

I understand and agree with you full heartily! I am currently looking for my last dreamie now, but it was SO hard for me to actually choose who it should've been since there are so many villagers I really like! I was literally jumping back and forth trying to think of who I liked better between 5 villagers. Yes, I remember during the good ol' Cube days as well for AC that you could've held well over 10 villagers in a town! Console size difference and memory does play a large role indeed on the factor of who to fit, but I myself wish too we could hold more. Even when I get my last dreamie, I know I'll see someone one day in the campsite and go "Aww man...I want you!" xD It really is making me want to buy another ACNL game just for the fact I love so many more villagers, but then I wonder how far off we are to a new AC game (Since it's been around quite a while) I never knew how much an obsession I'd have with dreamies!
