The best rice I've ever had was fried rice at a Thai restaurant about fifteen minutes away from where I live. It had pineapple, golden raisins, cashews, and pork. Absolutely amazing.
you take last night's leftover steamed white rice, you add chopped garlic, fry it up, serve at breakfast with fried eggs and corned beef hash...

you prepare a roux of butter-sauteed celery, green pepper, onion, bay leaf, cayenne pepper, diced tomato, flour and water, chopped garlic, and hot sauce; then you cook some shrimp in the hot roux; then you serve it over the steamed/boiled white rice and add parsley and chopped green onion...
saute dat trinity of celery, green pepper, and onion in olive oil; then add cayenne pepper and a little tasso ham or spicy hungarian sausage, bay leaves, parsley, thyme, andouille sausage, ham hocks, get it all browned, add pre-soaked kidney beans and bring to boil in chicken stock, then simmer til the beans are soft and the ham hocks fall off the bone, then take a spoon and mash the beans up a bit if needed, spoon it all over your bowl of boiled or steamed white rice...
Practically anything goes with rice (my mom usually cooks it every night for dinner). I particularly like eggs, meat, any complementary savory sauce(s), and onions with rice.
Rice has a pretty plain flavor, white rice, so you can really eat it however you want with pretty much anything good!
However, my favorite meal is fried porkchops with panko. You pound the chops and dip them in the egg mixture, then in panko and into the pan with oil. Serve with a1 or whatever sauce you'd like and with rice, and you've got a mouth-watering dish.
You should try seaweed flakes. It's like a seasoning, but rice alone with it,tastes good.I tried it back when I was in Hawaii and the breakfast was Hawaiian/Japanese themed so every morning I was on vacation there i that hotel, rice with seaweed flakes. The best thing ever.
