  • Hello and if you're still around in SJSU i'll be at the MLK Library this afternoon from 4pm-6pm as we will be hosting some games like smash, indie favorites, fighting games with fight sticks, and some retro/legacy games, too! We'll be on the fourth floor if u wanna check us out
Yeah absolutely although it certainly won't be anytime soon! Hahaha oh I have so many junk food weaknesses, pizza in particular is the wooorst. Well you seem to enjoy food so that buffet was probably right up your alley :p That's cool that you speak Vietnamese tho, I wish I knew another language! I took Japanese for three years in high school and remember shockingly little. Spent a few months last year trying to learn Spanish too but that fell through the cracks. Well your secret (re your illiteracy) is safe with me ;) and lol, thanks, but I'm nothing to write home about tbh! And yeah I think Japanese is the highest Asian population in Hawaii, maybe besides Filipino. Yeah I loved the bright pink spring theme you had going on! Unfortunately I can't be more specific since it was a while ago and I visited a bunch of other towns around the same time lol, but I definitely liked it! And thank you!! Yeah I always update during the 1am hour bc I love the music :))
This is like the second or third year I think and this is the first year for me that I've taken a good part of doing/hosting the event. Oh wow and that's awesome.
There's gonna be some HD TV's and some LCD's setup for gaming and also there will be some giveaways although I can't say what they are but people will enjoy them. :)
You can call me chaotix or chao is fine with me. I'm pretty tired and this hot weather today was awful but at least I got my next project done here.

Yeah I was so unadventurous ugh I cringe thinking about it, esp for a self-proclaimed lover of travel (I don't say that anymore lol). McD's does srsly have the best fries!! I haven't eaten there in a while bc I'm trying to be Healthier but if someone brings their fries in my vicinity I can't resist. Aw Las Vegas seems cool, probs not much to do there for a 13 yo though huh? Vietnam is farther than Las Vegas ;) do you remember much about living there? Do you speak Vietnamese? I'm mostly Japanese and a small part Caucasian (mixture of German/Dutch/Polish I think)! I'm sadly not too connected with my Japanese roots tho besides what parts of Japanese/Asian culture are ubiquitous in Hawaii. Oh I feel ya, I've always wanted to live somewhere with snow, or at least some sort of season change. Yaaay thank you I love dream visitors! I visited yours a little while ago actually (a few days b4 you first messaged me maybe) and really enjoyed it!
(I spent like 10 min trying to shorten that message to make it fit the character limit. Only to make that effort pointless by telling you this in a second message anyway lmaao)
Haha hm I guess I'm well traveled in that I've been to some cool places but I wouldn't say I'm "cultured" at all!! When I think back on that Europe trip all I can dwell on is how many opportunities I missed, some due to lack of time but most due to stupidity lmao. Like I genuinely couldn't tell you one foreign food that I tried; I ate at McDonald's at least twice looool. What's the farthest you've traveled outside of California? Have you lived there your whole life? It's pretty much the same being Asian in Hawaii haha, I can't imagine living somewhere without a decent amount of diversity. TBH I don't get out much so I don't know how much I could advise you about traveling here! I could name some tourist destinations but like, nothing you couldn't find on TripAdvisor lol. And yeah it's usually in the 70s during winter I think, rarely goes below mid-60s. I didn't know there were families with youtube channels together, that sounds really cute, I'll have to check out some of their videos!
I went to Paris in high school, but only briefly; we toured several different countries but only got to spend a few days in each one. So I'd love to go back there sometime and see it properly! And some of the other places we went too, like London, and Italy! My friend studied for a semester in Italy and I was sooo envious ugh lol. Def want to go to Japan someday too. And I have this page bookmarked with like a map of "the perfect US roadtrip according to scientists" that looks amazing if I ever had someone to do it with and several months to kill hahaha. Hawaii is ok I guess :p Oahu is the island to visit imo, it has everything. I live on the big island which has... not much. We do love our poke tho! Haha that's perfect then, I like rain too, my town is a lot rainier than Seattle actually so I'd prob be fine there in that regard. The cold will be more of a problem but I could adapt. What vloggers do you watch?? I used to watch a lot of youtubers but haven't in ages.
Someday when I'm more financially secure! Haha. Malls are always a good destination! Shopping is one of my favorite things to do while on vacation, unfortunately for my wallet :( Anywhere in particular you've dreamed of traveling to? I've only traveled outside of Hawaii four times (yes I live in Hawaii, to skip ahead to your last q haha) but to pretty varied destinations so I've been lucky in that regard. Yeah, California is such a huge state I can't imagine how chaotic it would be if that many millions of people had to move :/ hopefully it won't come to that! Seattle gets a bad rap for being really rainy but it actually isn't as bad as they say, it's just gloomy/overcast a lot and if it rains it's usually just drizzle. And the summers are supposed to be beautiful! I was there in late August-early September and the weather was really nice the whole time. You def should visit if you get the chance :)
Ah well at least you know you have friends in the same boat. Solidarity! San Jose right, I think I saw you say in a thread? I've got family there! I'd love to visit sometime, I've only been to LA, and San Diego briefly. Wow that is really high for this late in the year :o I've seen some pictures of the effects of the drought, rivers and lakes completely dried up, which is just... so scary!! I hope that situation turns around soon somehow :// Yeah I spent a few weeks in Seattle in 2013 and really liked it! It's a great city. I did actually visit with the intention of seeing if I'd want to live there but it wasn't really feasible at the time.
Yeah it makes me happy seeing older folks around here haha. Oh right on, well best of luck with your program however long it takes you, and with whatever you do afterward! And thanks for your well wishes too :) I definitely feel you re: comparing oneself to others. I think feeling directionless in your 20s is a lot more common than it seems, just that people are more likely to share when their lives are going well than when they aren't, especially on social media (that's my hypothesis anyway).

I have some family in California! Where in California do you live (if you don't mind saying)? Is the drought there still pretty bad? That's my main reservation about moving there. Seattle is seeming like my most likely option, since my brother lives there, and just today told me I could come live with him if I wanted haha.
Sounds about right but anyways I'm gonna get some sleep and it was great talking to you aleonhart oh sorry I mean fashionista.
