Hi there, well I guess Bam got picked up already xD. Anyway I'm sorry I just disappeared after that post, I was sick for so long, and with school starting again and all that, my free time became very limited. Sorry about that and I hope your trade went well .

The Black flowers in this game are kind of a disappointment. They really are just a very dark red. In Wild World they were more of a true black. I've seen some people use them really nicely, though, usually mixed in with red/orange/yellow flowers and Sweet Olive bushes.

I have some red ones. Pink Carnations HATE being bred in my town, for what ever reason, so I usually end up with red ones instead. xD; I was watering my Blue Roses and Pink Carnations at the same time: I got around 60 Roses and maaaaybe 2 Carnations. That's how reluctant they are to grow.

Yeah, I've visited entirely pink towns and they look nice, but I don't want my own town to be entirely pink either. I don't like how most of the pink flowers look, to be honest. The only one I really like is the Pink Lily. I love how it's darker in the middle and the general shape of Lilies themselves. Roses and carnations always look really cluttered in my eyes.

I'm not 100% sure on if there's a limit to how many trees can be in an area. Did you make sure to leave a treeless space between them?

Also, are you looking for any more hybrids? I managed to survive the weekend, but just barely. xD;

From what I understand, the 12-in-a-row limit only applies to bushes, trees, and bamboo. Flowers, Clovers, and items don't contribute towards the chain.

It seems like you're still confused from when I said a "hole in the chain". I meant a gap. Not a hole you have to dig. There just needs to be space (or more) with no bush/tree/bamboo to keep the chain from getting too long. You can either keep that space with nothing on it, or you can put a pattern tile, or you can plant a flower/clover, or drop an item. It just can't have another bush/tree/bamboo.

So having 10 bushes, then a gap, then 12 more bushes should be fine.
