ep was good though, even though there wasn't any game action. booo :-/

but yeah, back to the banner- the left side is great! doing something a bit similar to that on the right would most likely look good as well, under the yin-yang symbol. what you put there atm doesn't look too good imo, as the lines are sharp and the red is too intense compared to the somewhat subdued tint of the entire piece.
maybe consider adding more colors while you're at it? light textures can be good for those. like, the two people can stay black and white, but have a myriad of colors around them from texture usage. I think that'd look pretty good! as for fractals, greentunic's stuff is definitely the way to go. they're colorful, so there's that too

anyways, because of the yin-yang duality, I think it'd be nice to make the banner black and white with a dash of color, maybe include a yin yang symbol in there (at the back) too. to show magic, fractals would be nice. I see you have some of those going on already. so just expand that idea.

for knifes, I think using diagonal lines as clipping masks to create flow would be good. the sharpness of it can mimic the look/feel of knives, because including real knives would probably look weird

will offer more advice if needed in 30mins or so, I'll be going off to watch the ep

can u take off the pixelated effects and use this for a background....

I'm using songs to help teach myself Japanese, actually. It's challenging but I like singing in another language x3
Do you sing in foreign languages ever? My favorites besides Japanese are Hawaiian and Gaelic~

and huh I've never done a voice midterm before, what's it like? it seems pretty hard if you have to memorize a lot of singing-related vocabulary, though I suppose it only appears difficult to me because my expertise doesn't lie in the singing category, lmao

Dude anytime! And yeah I can see the burns; maybe try using the dodge tool over on the faces a little bit and try using a solid gradient from the back and make it look like a light source behind the Chie, Yukiko and Rise? The light seems to be only on Chie, and the others' faces seem overburnt.
