Thanks for all the tips. And yeah, I had been playing For Glory a lot. I like playing against human opponents and my immediate friend group who have the game are usually busy with work, so it's difficult for us to schedule most of the time. I'll try to put this stuff into practice.

I'd be open to pointers. I've been playing Smash Bros. games since the N64 but I honestly don't know much about reading the opponent and all the terms get confusing after a while. I know at least that I should go for throws more often, but it's something I'll have to learn to do since I've rarely used them.

I was just getting introduced to what a forum even was for the first time in grade school. My friends and I were really big AC fans, and one day in computer lab class when I should have been doing what my sixth grade teacher was telling us to do - I was looking up "Animal Crossing Forums" instead.
