x for x = -5

2
-2m + 4n for m = -6 and n = -5

2
-cd for c = 2 and d = -4

I'm confused what the numbers above the problems mean...

Like this?

-2m + 4n
= -2(-6) + 4(-5)
= 12 - 20
= -8

EDIT: Oops, plugged in the wrong number. Should have been -6, not 6. Fixed.

1. -5

2. -2(-6) + 4(-5) = 12 - 20 = -8

3. -cd = (-2)(-4) = 8

everyone already answered but i wanted to do them too lmao

oh no sorry the numbers are exponents.

for # 1 it should be above the right of the x

for #2 right of the m

#3 next to the D

x^3 for x = -5
-5^3 =
-125

-2m^2 + 4n for m = -6 and n = -5
-2(-6)^2 + 4(-5) =
-2(36) + -20 =
-72 + -20 =
-92

-cd^2 for c = 2 and d = -4
-(2)(-4)^2 =
-(2)16 =
-32

Idk what the 3, 2, and 2 stand for so that's my final answer C:
Scratch dat, recalculating~
Recalculated!!! New answers updated~

I LOVE MATH <3

Ah, I set up exponent like this x^-3 to show it's there.

Problem 1

x^3 = -5
= ^3√5

Problem 2

-2m^2 + 4n for [m = -6 and n = -5]
= -2(-6)^2 + 4(-5)
= -2(36) - 20
= -72 - 20
= -92

Problem 3

-cd for [c = 2 and d = -4]
= -cd^2
= -(2)(-4)^2
= -(2)(16)
= -32
