Chobits. I always love Chobits. It's a bit of an odd story, but the art is great-clamp always does lovely work.
Samurai Champloo. It's deep. But also very, very good.
well i really loved toradora and k-on. they're both funny and cute.
Yush, I read the manga and it made me laugh a lot.If you like school settings specifically, Azu Manga Daioh is cute and comical.

Funnily enough, chobits was made after angelic layer. Both were made from clamp. They actually made tsubasa and combined all of their world's which pretty cool. I would suggest the manga over the anime though.
But I am also taking notes on anime from this thread. I want some goodies to watch.
School Days is the most unexpected anime I ever watched. I actually liked it, but it depends on the viewer's opinion.Probably most similar to Ouran I can think of is School Rumble and Baka and Test. Ranma 1/2 is in a school haha. Clannad is in school but is way more dramatic than ouran imo. But relatively similar
Welllllllll I suggest to anyone who is an anime fan:
Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (Thriller and Horror)
School Rumble (Slice of life and Comedy)
Evangelion series and movies (You must have heard of it)
Space Dandy (Hilarious Comedy)
Black Lagoon(Action and Drama)
Clannad (Slice of life, Romance)
Clannad After Story (Tragedy)
School Days (Dur) (Deconstruction of a genre/tragedy) game is good too if you like 18+
As mentioned, both Persona 4 animes are good but dont want Golden if you've never played the game or at least watched the first anime, you'll be totally lost I guarantee it.
Full Metal Panic (Comedy, Drama, Mecha)
Cowboy Bebop (Space Western, drama)
That's all I can think of for now
Probably most similar to Ouran I can think of is School Rumble and Baka and Test.
