  • can you resend what you wanted in it to my tumblr? i lose everything on here which is why i couldnt remember. or if youve written it somewhere else link it to my tumblr please. i want to try to get these done this weekend while i dont have homework for once then close up my art shop until i have an actual like fall break or something since classes are running me ragged
I actually don't need the cake to be reserved anymore due to a generous donation.
Thank you for willing to reserve though.
    :)
LOL, well thanks so much! I'll have to do all that tomorrow because I think I'm dying right now because of exhaustion.
and how, exactly, do you link to a specific thread post? like, do they each have their own url war? sorry i am so ignorant it hurts.
OH POOPS, THAT'S WHAT I WAS AFRAID OF. HNNNG, WORKS. Well, thanks so much, Yook!

I'll have to get started on that omg pray for me. *brb sobs*
hey you, yeah you! your art shop thread has those pictures with multiple links in them to help navigate your shop. how exactly did you do that? trying to figure out a way to attempt it myself for my signature. however, the only way i found involves html code which is not permitted on 99.9% of forums.
All fantastic advice, thank you so much! I would write another long reply, but I don't think I can provide anything coherent until I sleep XD Talking with you has been great, let's do it again some time! c:
I guess I just don't have as much time for it anymore what with school becoming really important in my life and all :c I stopped doodling in class and listened instead, which is a good thing considering I have big dreams for college, but it's pretty sad sometimes. Though there are times where I'm inspired, and I wish I could take those inspirations and do them many times over so I could work on them, but I get so distracted with the dozens of options I have x.x It's fantastic to have styles you're able to work with, because then you're not always looking at other people's art and comparing yourself to it (though I'm sure that still happens). Oh well, more practice and time spent will always make me better! ^^
Great advice! The main reason why I have a lot of trouble with doing requests and trades is because I just don't draw as often as I used to, and when I do draw, it's either because I had sudden inspiration to do something great for myself (those usually work out) or because I want to get something on a site >.< I also don't have a specific style really, I try so many things out, which makes it hard to KNOW I can do something for someone. The best thing I can do for myself is probably draw all on my own time and get inspired again!
If your art takes a long time to do, then you should definitely charge more for it! Especially if you follow through. I know I've tried to do art requests and trades a few times, and people seem to like my art, but if I can't draw their character, then it's pretty much hopeless and I feel really discouraged about art for quite awhile :c
Thanks for your input! I thought about it for a minute, but if I lowered my prices, I doubt I would get any more business than I already do! I already have wonderful regulars at my shop, as I'm sure you do as well ^^
I completely agree. There are plenty of shops I've passed by and felt they were overpriced, but it's the product and service that keep bringing people back. Your shop has been successful for such a long time and is known to be reliable. Another person in the TBT Marketplace has opened up a shop pretty much like mine but half the price and I'm not going to lower my prices but instead be a good shop that people feel comfortable to visit! Plenty of people will miss that, but they're not really worth the time then.
