it's been pretty good so far, i've just been busy putting down paths. it's gonna take me awhile to be finished though because i'm waiting for some of my villagers to move out so that i can place my paths over the spots where their houses were at. how about you? anything new going on in your town?

I could go on about her talent all day. She draws all the graphics for the on-site events and it's honestly mind-boggling how amazing she is at what she does. Don't know what we did to deserve her but I plan to lock her up so she can never leave. Srs.

Yes, I completely agree! Whilst I'm endeared to the Japanese version, the English dub does certainly have its charms, and is a huge source of nostalgia for many. I dislike when people say there's only one correct version of a character because that really isn't true; all of the different portrayals of the characters let you learn things about them in ways you wouldn't if they were only shown in one particular way. c: In terms of art, don't worry about needing to be confined to one particular medium just because that's the most commonly used! Different things work better for different people; it may be easier for you to be more free with painting because imo, it's a little less restricted in terms of what you can and can't do in comparison to drawing. I love painting because you can be a bit more abstract and artistic with it, meaning it's a bit easier to express what you want to through the artwork, if that makes sense! If you give it a go, you might find you actually really like it!

--the characters are a lot sweeter, a bit less bratty and have more depth, no more kissing cousins fiasco and overall, everything seems a bit more tangible and enjoyable however, I may be biased, but I think you should definitely check it out! I watched the first 2 seasons of Crystal in Japanese when it came out and it was okay; the art style was nice generally but it was really 'derpy' at times, but I liked how they stayed more true to the maturity and plot of the manga compared the original anime! I think the Japanese dub of the original is the best thing to watch, but Crystal is pretty good if you can get through the occasional plot hole and strange anatomy haha. I think you should watch both though, to see what you think of them, because that's only my opinion c: And of course! I go through varying spurts of activity on tbt (I've been here since 2013 but not even 1000 posts yet!) so I may be inactive for a short while occasionally but I'd definitely like to~
