Maastricht is indeed a beautiful place. You need to take a look in the stokstraat over there, I will assure you that you'll instantly faint when you see the prices. You're talking about the grachtenhuizen/canalhouses right? Well, in old cities (like Maastricht) you'll find a lot of those, being built around the time of the VOC. But when you leave the city centre you're probably going to see the same houses as you see in Germany. Only a bit more placed together. I live with my parents in a pretty big house but I desperately want to move to some small apartment haha.

As far as I know there aren't any christmas markets here, at least not any that you would be able to compare to the German size, maybe a small stall of christmasbread and that's everything. The only real reason I always go with my mom and granny to those markets is because of the food, Germans are the best when it comes to delicious street food.

I found one of the files from the ''lessons'' *krum* *krum* I wrote. It's about greetings which is probably a lot of unnecessary information since you probably know all of it already but I'll send it anyway in a minute. I'll search for some of the other documents and sent you some new info when I found them and when I've time

I really need to be more organized. My pc give me an error this morning for reaching the limits of notes on my desktop lol.

I've been to Aachen ones. My mom, granny and I always go the german christmas market. We've also been to the christmas market in Düsseldorf, Keulen (I believe it's called Köln xd) and Bonn. Ohmygod, so many delicious glühwein and reibekuchen! I always stuff myself full with them whenever I'm there!

i love it here. my dad lives here so i come to visit him every summer! i am going to visit berlin and frankfurt in my travels so i ahve a full month of fun planned in germany this summer.

You know, this would be a great opportinity to learn some German since you also know a bit Dutch but since I sucked at every language in school except English I think it would be just lost time haha

Oh, sorry for my false assumption! I never heard that anyone actually wanted to learn Dutch haha, I find it a pretty **** and too difficult language myself. Though ehm..well I actually know someone that wants to learn Dutch beside you. He asked for Dutch lessons online and since then I'm sending him language info. He's brazillian and I don't really understand why he wants to learn it but hey, that's his choice. If you still want to learn some basics I can send you the lessons I send to him? Although you probably already know all of that since you were able to respond to the last thing I posted xd.
