You have to set out the item and invite all the animals you need. Then Go to the scrapbook and you watch it there
Oh yeah Ghiri does need a lot of Soldier's Uniforms. I remember grinding out the 3 Ganondorf story missions a few times can get you quite a bit, especially the third one (at Hyrule Field, where you battle Link and Zelda). He was one of my mains when I first got the game so I know the feeling of wanting to use him when he doesn't even have his 2 most useful moves unlocked.
Oh sorry, I don't have the Switch version! Although after a google search, it seems like network links aren't in the Switch version anyways... That's a shame since they were really helpful, especially earlier on.
Personally I use the Warriors controls since they work a bit better for this style of game imo, but the Zelda controls aren't that much different anyways so just use what you're comfortable with.
