  • Hi! Just wanted to let ya know I added you. If you'd like to add me, my FC is: 0146-8744-1360
    Thanks. :D
I'm gonna sleep now, it's 1:30 here. We use 24h clock in Europe in case you didn't know
Ha, I think I get what you're trying to say! But an example is that AC:NL won't be localised to Dutch because the costumer base is just doesn't weigh up to the work that has to be put in localising, most DS games do get translated but for AC they really have to program and design new content.
I'm serious about teaching you another language, which one would you like to learn? I'm an expert in Dutch, familiar with German, and a rooky with French. But the problem is that to learn a language you also have to learn a lot of words and I'm not gonna give you tests :p so I don't know how good our little school idea is gonna work out.
Should I add you on Skype?
Well I know Dutch isn't a language that is really popular amongst foreigners (small county, not many ways to use it if you don't actually visit) but if you wanted I could teach you some Dutch. I actually really enjoy teaching others about my language (I don't know why).
I can try to teach you French / German but that's a learning process for me as well so I can't guarantee that I'll be a good teacher.
No pressure though, I understand it if you really don't care that much!
And Asian languages are pretty cool but I think I'd never really get a feel for those. With French I can relate so many words to English and Dutch that I can guess what words are and learn em quickly. My linguistic knowledge would render useless whilst trying to learn say Japanese...
Oh my this has become quite a long message, hasn't it? I apologise!
Oh I always here that American don't really bother to learn foreign languages, other than Spanish! Might be a myth though!
Well the Netherlands has always been home to many different people from different cultures (us being a naval nation and all) and we actually learn the basics of 4 languages at school, you have to learn at least English Dutch and one other foreign language. So I picked French and advanced English. But I also speak German since its pretty similar to Dutch (my German isn't that good though)
Oh, darn. I was gonna go for a 101 dalmatians amount despite that I dislike dogs.
