It is a bit dramatic and annoying such prices are labeled on popular villagers or sets, but it can't be changed unless as you said, given out for free. But I can understand your pov, in a way, those that give free things may not intend to ruin the economy but possibly reduce it and/or stabilize it to a price and requirement to which is standard and not exaggerated.

True, I or others will be bummed out if people retracted their offers because they found another thread simply giving instead of selling. I don't know. It's how greed runs in our veins a bit, taking advantage of the top tier and demanding things ya know. I have powersave too, and we literally could own anything, which I don't find fun. I simply use it for bells, mainly to pay for whatever set or item I could get my hands on or buy tbt bells for ingame bells.

At the same time, everything has a pro and con. Money can be bothersome sometimes. ._.
