    Lauren Bacall is amazing. She could play the serious roles, like she did with Bogart, but also comedies. I loved her in How to Marry a Millionaire.

    The Thin Man movies (the first three are the best) are mysteries that center around Nick and Nora Charles, played by William Powell and Myrna Loy. They're lighter than a film noir, but the banter between Powell and Loy makes the film.

    And, yay! I always wanted a birthday twin! :D

    I saw on the hobbies thread that you love old Hollywood movies. What are your favorites? I love musicals, with Fred Astaire and Donald O'Connor being my favorites. The Thin Man series is wonderful, and my go-to movie to cheer me up is The Philadelphia Story.
