    Don't worry, I don't think it matters whether they were moved in before him or after. I'm sure you can keep the villagers you want and keep cycling out ones you don't! :D I hope that helps. If you want, I can try to find a guide for the 16 villager cycle.

    hey there! sorry for late reply, i was browsing through some other threads haha. anyway, i believe it's when a villager leaves your town, you can't get them to move back in your town until after 16 cycles/16 villagers move out. are you looking to keep all of the new move ins? there's a cycling method that (ideally) lets you keep wanted villagers. it's a little tedious though and very time consuming.

    So, it's just that 16 villagers has to move out of your town after the lost one.
    For example: You want to keep 5 of your 10 villagers, so you can keep them and let only the other 5 ones always move out until you have 16 villagers out. Then you can get him again. Hope it answers your question! :)
