The very meaning of life lies within. Do we really have free will, and if we do, where does it come from. When you consider our bodies are basically extremely complex machines made of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and a collection of other elements. Machines though are deterministic. When ever an exact chain of input occurs the same reaction results. The complexity just means that my body will always be in this exact spot doing the same thing given the exact same sequence of events I have been
So my fiancee visited for his spring break this week. I am sitting here slightly tearing up now that he's headed back to the Midwest away from me again. I really can't wait til one of us is out of grad school.
I'm thankful for the time I can spend with him, but you know I've considered dropping out just to move back with him, I miss him that much sometimes. One of us calls almost everyday, but it just isn't the same being so distant.
Anyway it was fun got to go
Yeah I have an uncanny ability to guess pretty much exactly what will happen in a movie or show. It is a rare one that actually fools me.
Today's example, Stargate Universe. So this group of people end up trapped on an ancient starship galaxies away. They are running deadly low on power, and dropped out of hyperspace they thought because the ship detected habitable planet. After hooking around a gas giant though they were headed for the sun.
After that I guessed
Everyday worlds come into existence in my head, by my hand. Everyday they evolve, some die, some expand. Everyday I wonder if all my thoughts are actually reality, and yet the answer is probably impossible for me to know in my sanity.
I have seen swirling galaxies collapse, the end of time, places with no breath. Skies of unimaginable beauty, and blades of unimaginable cruelty. Sometimes I am the creator, yet other times I am merely an observer.
I don't know
Well after spending hours of messing around not doing work I got back to work and accomplished more than I had the many hours before clearing my mind.
So my words of wisdom for today is when having trouble on a problem, try refreshing your mind. Go for a walk. Watch some of a show you like. Play a game. When you come back to the problem you will be less annoyed with it, and likely be able to get on a new track of thought you couldn't before.
For me I even had to
