Yes and no. It's kind of hard to explain and best to just learn by experience.

I'll try to explain, though.

See, when a villager says they're moving on a certain day, it just means they're moving in X amount of days. Think of it like this: if they're moving on the 13th, that means they're leaving in 4 days. If you go back in time a day then back to today, they'll be leaving on the 12th instead of the 13th.

I don't know if that makes any sense to you, but if it does, great. Anyway, if you just time travel to the 12th, he'll be automatically packing and be ready for pickup.
