I actually went to a Japanese festival in Phoenix today, and I couldn't believe my eyes... The place was FULL of cosplaying weeaboos (mostly Naruto characters, lol), and BAD ones at that. There were a few good ones... But the fact that these people go to a Japanese heritage festival just to cosplay makes me facepalm. Honestly, these people probably know so little about Japan that I bet they think that EVERYONE cosplays EVERYDAY in Japan. Why else would they go to a festival about Japanese culture cosplaying as manga (not the weeaboo term "anime") and video game characters (or even the occasional sci-fi character, like the Spock cosplayer I saw XD)? 'Cause, you know, Japanese culture is totally ALL about cosplaying! <small>/sarcasm</small>

The only real hard part about playing the flute is the blowing, but similar to the Ocarina, you puff, not hold out each note. It takes sped and endurance. But it's not that impressive. Just a cos-player getting played to impersonate Link.
