Your unusual pets?!

My boyfriend is very kindly getting me a Pygmy hedgehog after trying to convince me he was getting a lizard for himself to throw me off course! I'm so so excited!

So I was wondering, what unusual let do you want or have?

I wanted a ferret! But because they're apparently 'just big long rats' I'm not allowed one (( I think they're adorable though!

I also used to have a rat named Buffy, the sweetest rat in the world! But she got put down due to cancerous lumps under her arms ;(

Oh that's unfortunate snakes are scary imo but I wouldn't mind a lizard!

I'm very classic with pets... 2 cats and a rabbit.
I have trouble with exotic pets, I feel most of them need more space and environmental stimulation than what they get in captivity.

That is a good point! we're getting a big big tank with extra holes and stuff for my Pygmy hedgehog! But tbf it's probably going to be with me most of the time anyway!

I've got roughly 7 lizards, and a few koi fish in the pond somewhere. I also have a Cockatiel, sweetest little thing. He doesn't know when dinner time is over or not, though, so he gets a little rough sometimes.

Have had sugar gliders, a skunk, 2 raccoons... it's nice to have just a cat for once.

Not fair mang. I've been keeping a diligent eye and ear open for any one who may be peddling raccoons under the radar. They're not legal pets in Maine as far as I can tell, every one I've ever talked to who's had one tells me they are the greatest pets ever.
