This question arose from me just downloading a mod pack for Sm4sh. What do you guys think of modding games in general? I've only ever modded Sm4sh, and it's really fun to use with custom costumes and stages.
i think mods can be great. i use mods in my sims games (mostly for minor gameplay stuff and things like that). also use them in cities: skylines. i have played a tiny bit of modded minecraft but Eh idk it wasn't a very fun mod and i'm not that into mincraft.
in my opinion it can bd great to have mods. i mean, you choose what you download so if you feel like a mid isn't fir you you don't have to have it. and many mods for different games add gameplay, make it easier (which can be seen as cheaty but Hey it's your game do w/e u want) and other stuff.
i wouldnt want to play all games w/ mods, and there are a few games i have decided to play completely cc and mod free (stardew valley) because i'm afraid it will ruin part of the fun of the game.
ok im gonna stop now because i feel likei m rambling but basically Mods R Nice
Modding is one of my favorite things to do in the games I play.
I tend to install mods that enhance the textures and smooth out the game technical wise first.
I personally don't like installing mods that give you an unfair advantage or make it too easy but it's always fun to experiment.
It's in the eye of the beholder. I highly recommend checking out mods and you should enjoy and do what you want with the games you own. As a PC player mainly, it seems to be looked down upon in the console community but it's been more fleshed out so people know that modding isn't solely to cheat lol.
Games I've modded:
Skyrim
Sims 3
Minecraft
Fallout 4
Mods are awesome! Some mods have become so popular that they're considered standalone games, such as Project M, a mod for SSBB. I haven't modded any of my games, unfortunately, but I would definitely like to at some point. There are some that encourage modding, but I don't really count those because they're more like an element of the actual game.
How did you mod SSB4? I've always wanted to because there's a cool Jeanne mod for Bayonetta that gives her Jeanne skin longer hair, and there's also a mod that gives her her original voice which I thought was pretty cool.

There's people on YT that showcase mods, like 64iOS. They provide links to the mods they showcase in the descriptions of their videos, so check them out.
I don't really use mods that much. Most of the ones I've used are graphical enhancements or minor things I thought should have been in the game by default, like cloaks in Skyrim. Basically stuff that actually fits in with the game, rather than Randy Savage Deathclaws.
Ones that make games easier and stuff I don't really see the point in, but if it's single player I don't really care since it doesn't exactly change my experience.
If you're using them in multiplayer though to gain an advantage, you're a dick...Obviously in private lobbies with friends who agree to it etc, go nuts, but giving yourself awesome gear, aimbots, spawning stuff etc in 'public games' is just douchebaggery.
Skyrim is the only game I like modding in. I plan on modding fallout 4 too when I start getting bored of Skyrim. I just beautify the game and add new weapons. It's fun!
