Hey everyone! I'm new here as you can tell, but wanted to give a little something to the community for starters. What I'm offering to a few select users here is the option to have their own online catalog or store. I will do the hosting for it, and the coding for it - and you will manage your database via a Google Docs spreadsheet. It's actually extremely simple to do.
I'm not even sure how many of you would be interested in this, but I thought I'd just offer. To show you an example of what it would look like, I have a screen shot below and you can also see a live demo and visit my personal catalog.
Basically after looking at the picture above, these are the options you have. I can change the background image for you to a repeating pattern, a color, or just a picture. You can set up the columns how you like and add as many as you want (obviously not too many though because it would screw up the formatting) depending on your ultimate goal, such as if this is a store you could add a column for the price of which you are selling the item for. I can also add a bit of a description at the top and some links that you may need up there.
As I said, I will be hosting this for you (unless you have your own host, then I could just give you the PHP file and you can host it yourself) so your URL would look something like this: xdxc.cc/ac/username/
Also considering I'm hosting this, I must limit how many people I can offer this service to.
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU:
Note: Please list all colors in #hex, unless it's just a simple "black", "red", "green", etc color.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
All you need to do is create a Google Doc spreadsheet, set it to public/sharing, and get me the link to it. It should look something like the below:
Once that is created, all you need to do is make simple changes to the Google Docs spreadsheet and it will instantly update on your online database!
I'm not requiring any sort of payment in return, but if you wish to transfer some of the site bells to me the I'm not going to stop you! That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure I have forgotten something and will need to add it to this original thread, but for the time being I think I covered everything. Anyway, just let me know if you're interested. Thanks!
