Since the game has been out for close to 3 years now, I'm curious as to what everyone's stories behind their original villagers are.
I started my town on June 11, 2013, and this was my first Animal Crossing game so I really had no idea what to expect. I didn't reset for starting villagers at all (since I had no idea which ones there even were), and ended up with the following:
Flurry
She was and is my favorite and is the only one of the starting five left. If she leaves, I'll probably throw my game in the trash lol. I've finally got her house back to a respectable state, since when I started I didn't know the consequences of giving in to every villager request, and she filled her house up with fish and bugs and also put a T. Rex skull in it, facing the wrong direction. She still has a sea bass that she just absolutely refuses to part with, though.
Diana
I loved her too and would have happily kept her forever. But due to the placement of my house, lake, and police station, her house blocked the only spot where I could build a bridge along a stretch of about 60% of my river. I traded her for Phoebe several months after I started my town, and I still miss her. I've thought about picking her up again, but of course, it wouldn't be MY Diana, so I kind of prefer just keeping her in my memory and in her photo (amazing quote, too).
Papi
What a hilarious villager. I loved his catchphrase. He somehow got his hands on a potty and put it right in the middle of his house, which really cracked me up. I ended up giving him away to somebody else, though.
Antonio
I love his facial expressions. But he was my SO's favorite so I let her have him. I recently bought her a second copy of the game, and she moved him to that town, where he resides now.
Gruff
"You got somethin' you wanna say to me? Is it 'bleh eh eh'?" He was the only one I voided, not because I didn't like him, but because I like change and I couldn't find anybody to take him. He was the last original of mine to leave, though. By then he had pretty much gotten rid of his entire house except for his drum set, lol.
Anyway, that's my story--what's yours? I'm curious.
