Your opinion on what happened?

Sorry to post this here if it is the wrong place or it is annoying. Also sorry this is long.

But anyway, recently I met a guy on the Club Tortimer island, and we exchanged friend codes. Up until this day, he's come over to my town a few times and it had been fine every time, and I had also gone to his town once. Anyway, he came over again today. I told him I'd let him have some stuff in my house he wanted. So after he picked some stuff out, I told him to wait outside so I could get the stuff. Then when I came outside, he wasn't in front of my house like I'd thought...but then I found him and gave him the stuff I got out. Then he said he had to leave, and he started to head for the gate and I was like "Ok bye", but then when I went to water my flowers, and I immediately noticed two of my Jacob's Ladders were gone...and I had swore I just saw them today in those exact spots...I checked another spot where two were growing, and only found one. Before he left I asked him if he took any flowers, and he said he only took a red rose (which I didn't say he could take, but it was ok since I have plenty of those)...so I believed him. But I couldn't shake the feeling, so I asked him again later through the best friend messages if he took the Jacob's Ladders, and he said "No, but I took some from my brother's town. Idk your's probably just died or something."

...I guess I'm asking, do you think he took them even though he told me he didn't? Or...do Jacob's Ladders sometimes just...disappear? Sorry, it just makes me feel bad because I thought I had made a friend, but he might turn out to be someone I can't really trust...

lol nah he took em. they dont just disappear. unless your memory is faulty, which i doubt, he obviously habitually steals flowers if hes taking from his brothers town too, and takes roses without asking

I believe he took them, a lot of people will lie about that sadly you can't really trust anyone from club tortimer it's not a bad thing to trust someone you meet from there but it's best to be careful.

dont think jacob's ladders just randomly vanish; its never happened to me, sorry to tell you that

something like this just happened to me two days ago, someone stole my 2 blue roses (which were planted in very specific spots next to each other and everything right near my bench with my other hybrids, the odds of specifically my two blue roses getting run over is kinda low) and my pink tulips (which are right next to the retail with all my other flowers, its super close to the retail and all my other tulips so again, what are the odds of only the pink tulips getting run over) and i didnt even notice it until a day after it happened so one of my friends is a thief, but idk who... D:

Yeah im sorry but he took them. He most likely said he took those flowers from his brother in case you visit him and question it. Other wise why would he say that unprompted? You didn't know he had any.

I think he definitely had a hand in their disappearance, being that he took them or trampled them or something.

I have four Jacob's Ladders in my town, and i don't use them, if you'd like to have them.

I'm sorry, but I think you already know what did just happen.

My tip for you is to avoiding exchanging FCs on Tortimer Island like that. I've made some good friends there myself, but good, trusty friends don't have good chances of popping every time. Think a lot before doing that.

It's really sad to see this kind of thing happening, but we live and learn.

It's not that big of a deal, but he must have taken them. Just go to his town and check. Even then, they shouldn't be to hard to grow back.

I'd definitely say he either stole or trampled them.

Twice I had my hybrids disappear when someone visited my town. I pretty much pay attention to how many I have since I check daily for any new flowers popping up. The first time I let it slide as I didn't say anything about taking flowers to the person, but another time when someone else came over, I mentioned to them beforehand to not take any at all. As I walked around my town while they were off on their own, I found several hybrids missing and then decided to disconnect.

The thing about taking some from his brother's town is probably an excuse in case you go to his town and see some.

Had someone take my hybrid flowers before when they came to pay me for something.

I was soooooo upset! How dare someone take my flowers without asking when I work hard for them! D:<

Well it's really too bad.He gained your trust by being good for the first few visits, then stole from you when he had the chance.Don't let this experience keep you from making Island friends.Just be more careful in the future.I had a lot of Island friends, but I always supervised the visits.And if they wanted something in my house, I would order them one.

I erased all of them though because they would constantly ask for things.I like helping people, but they would just take it too far.First I'm giving them 2 blue roses, then I'm ordering things, then they ask for bells.I really don't like to give bells.I do sometimes, but I feel like people should work for them like I did.

The friends that I kept are the ones that don't take advantage.We help eachother.A couple of them I met on the Island.I been friends long enough to let them visit without supervision.So far so good.
