title says it all. for those of you who reset with intent, what aspects would make a town The One for you?
personally when i am resetting, one of the most important factor is fruit type. my favorite fruits are oranges and apples, but i can live with cherries. i suppose i could live with pears too granted the rest of the town had something really impressive, but i never have. i absolutely would never keep a town whose fruit was peaches, and i only grow them in my current town because it seems like every villager and their mother wants a darn peach!
second most important to me is beach location. a right facing beach if not an immediate deal breaker begins to wear me down and is a big factor when i consider restarting a town. i also love tiny secret beaches, but they are not at all necessary.
as for buildings, a retail or town hall in the bottom half of the screen is an absolute deal breaker. i 100% cant deal with buildings that big and obtrusive being in the way of foot travel. it always amazes me how my borther is the opposite way, always aiming for those buildings as low as possible, and his house as high on the screen as you can go.
as for grass shape, i only became aware of it recently, and while it would be nice to have round grass it just never seems to happen.
for overall layout, an unobtrusive river is a big factor. a river that trisects the town can reduce space and usability so much. i absolutely hate it.
when it comes to starter villagers, while i appreciate having nice ones, its really OK to me to have five villagers i actively dislike. new people start to flow in very quickly, and i usually make a friend in the first few days. when you have limited options, villagers you arent a fan of start to look a little more attractive [personality wise too i dont just mean design wise].
what would be the recipe for your perfect town?
