How long did it take for you to catch your first coelacanth? I got one on the second fish
For a total of 1 sea bass and one coelacanth. Of course i donated it to the museum. I went to catch a second one to Put in my house but it took a little longer to catch it. After a while i caught another one and it sits in my house right now.
I didn't even know coelacanths existed when I caught one. Took about 2-3 minutes, and I routinely have good luck with them. I sold it for 25,000 bells. The next one I get, I'm going to donate it to the museum!
I was playing the gamecube version for a while and was eventually told by my dad (who was at Nintendo, no joking) that if you went to the sea during rain there was a special fish there. It took about half an hour to find the thing. He also told me about the stringfish, but I had already found it previously.
On my last town I just went to the beach with my 4 leaf clover and I IMMEDIATELY saw a huge shadow and it was the coelacanth, I got pretty lucky on this one
