Edit: Naruto was the first anime I watched I knew was an anime. My very first was Pokemon.

The first anime I watched was Tokyo Mew Mew but if you exclude the time when I didn't even know what anime was it would be Shugo Chara. I suggest Kiznaiver
Mayoiga was ok/kidna good (though people said it turned into rubbish near the end)

Mine I Would Say Is A Combination Of Vampire Knight And A Little Snow Fairy Named Sugar. I Wouldnt Know What To Recommend Since I Dont Really Know Your Tastes But A Good Comedy Nonsensical Anime Is Nichijou. It Is So Much Like Lucky Star With Not Really Having A Set Plot, But Rather More Skit Like With Scenarios. Its Super Funny And I Think Totally Worth The Watch

my first was either ranma 1/2 or inuyasha, i dont remember. i recommend watching a lull in the sea, aku no hana, clannad (the first season is utter trash, but go through with it. the second season is worth it), death parade and mekaku city actors

FLCL and Full Metal Alchemist brotherhood are both good i enjoyed 1st season of Sowd art online, One Piece. (lotsa eps binge time lol) Bleach is good also (lol filler ftl).

I can't recall all that well which was my first, since I've been watching anime since I was really little to be honest, but I can list the first animes that I remember. There just won't be any particiular order hehe.

The original Yu-Gi-Oh was good.
Sailor Moon (The movies were probably my first animes, but I watch the actual anime now. Sailor Moon Crystal is just the remastered version)
Wolf's Rain(I cried)
Cowboy Bebop(Possibly the first)
Escaflone(GOD HOW IS IT SPELLED? ALSO I'm referring to the movie and not the actual anime for this, but both are awesome! Also possibly my first anime)
Ghost in the shell (Possibly my first)
Dragon Ball Z (OR any season of the Dragon Ball series tbh, who knows when I started watchin this)
Naruto (Haven't watched the new stuff, haven't watched any of it in years, but the show was great in the beginning)

Though if I had to pick a favorite anime, it would be a choice between Soul Eater, Gurren Lagann and Squid Girl.
