Your favorite underappreciated villager?

Just curious! When I first got to the Bell Tree I was actually kind of shocked to realize Margie was considered bottom of the barrel? Maybe I'm biased because she was my absolutely favorite back when I played Wild World, but finding out she was so unpopular was really surprising!

What do you guys think? Do you have a villager you adore that no one else seems to?

Velma!

She has really grown on me a lot in the passed few months. I got ahold of her on my hard copy today, which my brother gave to me about a couple months, since he doesn't play Animal Crossing anymore.
I am going to switch Kabuki out for her. I find her to be a very nerve-calming villager. Like the friend you go see when you are stressed out and need to vent and drink tea with. Plus, the snooty villagers are absolute sweethearts in NewLeaf, so I am really glad she returned here. Call me crazy, but I have grown to freaking love Velma!
I really don't know why I love her so much now. I never had her in a cycling town or main town until today.

Ikr? Margie is flawless and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her being so low but Tia being so high. Tia is cute too don't get me wrong, but I don't see how she's THAT much more popular. I feel Kidd, Timbra and Freckles are ridiculously underated too.

So many. I actually think all villagers have a redeeming quality about them.

Hmm not sure, maybe Alfonso? I didn't like him at first but he's cute in his own way.

the most underratted would have to be beardo, however daisy also seems like she should be way higher than a fourth tier. same goes for broccolo, people love kiddie-style villagers, why dont people love broccolo?

I have a soft spot for Cyrano. He's been with me in New Leaf since Day 1! He was a starting villager in my first town, which I played for over a year. Then I bought a second copy to play on my other player. When I decided to restart, I went crazy time traveling in order to get some things to hold in Pripyat, which I would transfer over later. During that time, Cyrano left that town and moved to Pripyat. I restarted my game a day or so later. Cyrano decided to leave Pripyat a few weeks later and because I wanted to meet new villagers, I let him go. A few days later, he showed up in my newly-restarted town! He's still there. So I've had the exact same Cyrano in three towns. LOL

He's the only villager who has literally followed me everywhere I go!

I'd say Rodney, but I've seen a quite a few positive posts about him lately. So maybe Renee?

Pancetti, Paula, Tipper, Portia, Del, Grizzly, Harry. There are more, but we would be here all day.

I think Lobo is one of the most underrated wolves, (if not the most underrated) but I love him. I love his whole design, especially his eyes. ; v ;​

Oh, that's so interesting that we like Rodney for different reasons. I like him because he's kind of an otaku/weeb with video games in his house.

Sally is super cute. I really don't know how she isn't in demand like other the other popular squirrels, Marshal and Poppy.

And I adore Grizzly. I wish I had room for him in my town but I can't let any of my ten go...

Out of the 9 in my new leaf town, I'd say Aurora. I always loved her. I don't really see bad things posted about her and I know she has some love from others, but is rarely talked about.

I could easily make a list of all the underappreciated villagers.
I guess there are people who are into "the popular villagers"...and those of us with more refined tastes.

And I totally do not understand why Margie is not more popular. She is so cute and deserves better!
