Young players experiencing Pokemon in Hoenn

I prefer Gen 2 because that was my first, but I wasn't all that amazed by Gen 3. I'd like to see a remake done, but I wouldn't necessarily get it.

I thought LG/FR were ok, and I liked HG/SS because it was a Gen 2 remake. I have White, but I don't plan to get B2/W2. I haven't heard super amazing things about them that make me want to get it.

That's strange. Gen 5 is incredibly good.

Gen 5 is a very good Gen, but Gen III out performs anything. It's very good graphics for it's time and it's not so... pixelated.

Yeah I am 13 and played Pokemon Ruby as my first Pokemon game when I was about 7-8. :) After I finished that, I got Pokemon Pearl (My brother had Pokemon Diamond). I have played every pokemon game after, and am going to play pokemon black 2, as it should arrive in the mail on monday or so. I plan to get pokemon X and Y, but have no idea what I should choose for a starter. xD I actually would like to play the rest of the pokemon games too, Red or Blue, Yellow, Silver/Gold/Crystal, and Firered/Leafgreen, so those jerks on the internet can't hate on me for never playing the classics. >_> I did play gen 3 though, so I may be a bit more better off. What makes me disappointed though is that I only know 2 or 3 people in my entire grade who even played pokemon. I am in a small school so there are about 60 kids in my grade, to put that into perspective. EVERYONE pretty much had a DS but somehow never played pokemon -_-

Veteran players are allowed to have their opinions, but they shouldn't be disliking you since you haven't played the first games. That's pretty low, in my opinion

EDIT: That's basically disliking someone because of their age. Some people like you and I can't help being born later than them.

I agree with you 100%. I really am frustrated that a lot of people have these problems with me and other people around my age because of... My age. There is not anything we could have done to play the same games at the same age, because we just weren't simply around when the games were released. Me and my 17 year old brother had a discussion about this recently, and he doesn't like that people HIS age pick on people my age for things like this, because it was entirely out of their control.

5.2>3>5>2>1>4

End of story. I've been playing since 1998. This is just how I see it. My opinions on 5.2 is probably skewed since I'm a professional breeder. But regardless B&W 2 are the most solid.

I was born in 2001. I was born around the time of Pokemon Crystal, I believe. Well, I've played many classics. Pokemon Yellow, Blue, Red, Silver, LeafGreen, FireRed, Ruby, Sapphire, etc, etc.

I've played every Gen, to shorten everything up. Hoenn was by far the best. It had excellent graphics and introduced many new features.

I played Pokemon when it came out back in holland somewhere in 1998 or so, I was 8,
I think my favorite generation is gen II, close is gen III,
my least favorite gen is gen IIII I think, I just don't like that one that much
so yeah, my fav to worse gen would be 2-3-1-5-4

You do realize gen 1 is not fire red leaf green right? Gen 1 is just red blue and yellow, which are all incredibly broken games. I mean the nostalgia factor is the only thing keeping people upvoting it. Trying to replay them is frustrating.

I've been playing the Pok?mon games since 1999 and the third generation is my least favourite. :/ I don't think younger players are missing out on much.

same here, I'd play it if they had a remake but I didn't like gen3 much... It's still cool of course, just not "The Best" for me.

I guess it's just personal preference, I love to grab my old gameboy and play through R/B/Y again! oh, the memories <3 No real RNG and Shiny pressures just fun haha xD

Yes, yes I do know that.

also, If I could chose to play a version right now I will take Blue,
I just like that game more than the newer ones, it's just like I went back in time, haha!
I really don't see why it is frustrating...I just enjoy it ''broken or not :3

Many of the issues with gen 1 are annoying and infuriating.

Honestly anyone who thinks gen 1 was better than anything other than d/p from gen 4 is on some seriously good drugs and should share. R/B/G are just NOT as fun to play anymore. **** wrap bind fire spin and clamp. Good lord.

I did like Gen 3 but I can't play Emerald anymore. I'm too used to the new systems with special and physical moves and things like that. I think the reason it wasn't remade is that between DPP and BW there wasn't a massive jump in graphics like there was when Gen 1 and Gen 2 were remade. I think it'll definitely get remade this gen.
My order would go 5, 4, 2, 3, 1. Don't get me wrong, though, it's not like I hate gen 1 and 3. It's just that I like 2, 4, and 5 better.

I was lucky enough to come across a friend who gave me a GBA and Pokemon Leafgreen+Emerald.
I honestly love both games equally, its really fun to play Leafgreen since it was my first pokemon game as a kid.
Seeing a remake of Hoenn would be wonderful though, imagine it on todays graphics *-*
