Young players experiencing Pokemon in Hoenn

As long as it's not a DS game I'm pretty sure they'll remake it for the graphics too. It was still on one of the older systems. And why not? I understand that some people don't like it, but why not wanting it made at all? That's kind of selfish, imo. If you don't want to play it, then don't.

And I'll say it again. It IS outdated. The last remakes were two generations ahead of the originals. If they make the remakes after X and Y, it will have been THREE generations later. This is exactly what people's thoughts were about Black and White. "I'm not going to try it because it's new and dumb." How do you know it's dumb until you've tried it. The only difference is this won't be anything new; so what?

i could also say its selfish to not want gamefreak to advance because you want to play an old game that you can still play with a DS lite.

i think you missed the point of what i was saying. i said i didnt want them to do a remake because i'd like something new instead, not because i find the thought of denying other people the game delightful. you want a remake, which they would be putting their time into instead of something new. and now im selfish because i dont want the same thing as you.

Hoenn was the first region i played on. Sapphire was my first ever pokemon, and still holds a place deep in my heart, i would adore a remake

Hoenn has been my favorite region (thus far), and if there's a remake, cool. But gameboy advance games are still very accessible, and don't feel... dated enough to me? Gamefreak already proved they don't need to stay loyal to a pattern of remakes with gen 5, and more power to them.

You never know. Just because they didn't follow a specific pattern doesn't mean it will never come out.

What you have to take into account is that Gen I and II were only really remade so that it was possible complete the Pok?dex on Gen III games onwards. If it wasn't for the remakes some Pok?mon wouldn't be available at all legitimately.

Whilst I like the Gen III games, I don't think a remake is needed. I think Gen V got it right, two games and then two sequels.

Well then, we'll just have to wait and see. If they don't release it after X and Y kudos to you guys and you can laugh in my face if you want. If they do I simply won't say anything about it. I still don't understand why so many people don't care for one, but eh, whatever.

Spoiler alert: Hoenn is amazing. I started playing Pokemon with Sapphire. I complete the National Dex in it.

Gen III remake is bound to happen. We're talking about the generation that gave us abilities, weather effects, individual sprites in the party menu, the berry overhaul that still exists today, the PC overhaul, the upgrade to the Battle Frontier that continues in newer games, and it introduced the first side-thing: Contests.

It truly was a revolutionary generation.

The fact that X and Y look so awesome is a good thing for future remakes. Imagine how the potential R/S/E remakes will look! Full 3-D

after pokemon x and y being released, i hope they make all future pokemon remake games with the 3d effect.

They'll be remade for sure. Probably not really soon, but it'll happen. Until then, you can easily get a GBA emulator on your phone and play Emerald on that. I've been playing Red version (that's right kiddies, the real O.G.) on a Gameboy emulator on my phone for nostalgia's sake. Takes me back to being 7 years old maaaaan.

For some reason I find it facinating when people say they started playing pokemon in any generation but the first... EFFFF I'M OLD!!!

I prefer Gen 2 because that was my first, but I wasn't all that amazed by Gen 3. I'd like to see a remake done, but I wouldn't necessarily get it.

I thought LG/FR were ok, and I liked HG/SS because it was a Gen 2 remake. I have White, but I don't plan to get B2/W2. I haven't heard super amazing things about them that make me want to get it.
