when villagers sing and dance....they look so cute but also really funny..like especially the hamster villagers cause they are so small and stubby, it makes me giggle. A L O T. Also the sheep villagers, which I have 2 in both my towns.

(I think this could go into animal crossing in general forum but, Ive only played new leaf and since I'm mentioning hamster villagers, which are a new species introduced in new leaf, I decided to put it here.)

I play my game muted, but listening to the temporarily high-pitched voices is a silly thing for sure.
I can't remember if it's as noticeable as it is in New Leaf compared to the older games.

I also love it when they dance while singing the town tune. It's super cute!

@ Snow: Oh, I see! I sometime play mute depending what I'm doing.. Like trying to catch beetles on the island cause it startles me when I miss/or they just fly away and make that buzz sound.. :[

I really like when they do little things like that. Seeing them perform various activities helps make villagers feel more "alive" and like they have a sort of autonomy. Something I especially like is when I see them out fishing. My town has 6 lakes so I tend to see them do that a lot.

Aww yes true! I just find it sad that they never catch anything nor get anything from trees when they shake them omg...

Don't they only do that when the trees have no fruit on them? I only have fruit trees in my town so I barely ever see that...

Yes, I imagine they're programmed to only shake empty trees so they can't harvest your fruit. But it is kind of sad. I wish they could get a surprise fruit to drop every once in a while.

I also love seeing them sing and dance. They look so happy. And I love to see them fishing, hunting bugs, and chatting with each other. It's so cute!

Maybe it could be that if a villager shakes a tree, they will sometimes find bells or furniture. Then if you talk to them, they will offer you a portion of it. That way the player doesn't feel like they're missing out on anything, and the villagers' lives will be a bit less depressing.

Something that's entertaining in a different way is seeing a villager fall into a pitfall on your title screen while the cheerful theme song is playing and then watching them jump out and get all steaming mad.

I agree. Seeing them with tools is really fun, because they exclaim funny phrases and such while describing to the player what they're doing. The fishing mechanic is really nice because it presents a challenge like your villagers not being available ASAP. Chatting is the best, definitely makes them more lifelike. I actually really like the bench mechanic. Being able to sit with villagers and having them react is the sweetes thing in the world.

I actually fear when they do this. Mostly when villagers talk to each other, and if I?m too late to break up the conversation, they change their clothes.

I only really like them in their default clothing, making them appear in other clothing don?t make sense. (Well, some, but most don?t.)

Sometimes they'll sing when I talk to them too. Especially Paula right after she's swindled me. She loves selling me items for way more than they're worth, then if I buy them she says, "Way to man up!" and walks off singing and dancing. She knows what she did. But it's so cute I can't be mad at her. LOL
