You know what would be THE BEST?

Part of me really wants there to be a way to pick where villagers move, because it's infuriating when someone (especially a dreamie!) moves into a bad spot. Currently, my new town is filled with patterns littered all over the ground in hopes to get villagers where I want them.

Another part of me thinks them choosing where they want to live is cute and I'd be sad to see that go away completely. Maybe some sort of option to complain to Isabelle about their house placement? I don't know, but I've always despised plot resetting, and I'm really picky about the placement of things personally, so I can get very annoyed with New Leaf because of it.. so I'd like to see improvement in that area.

As for moving buildings like the town hall, nah. I think that's a little much. I quite like New Leaf's randomized maps.... even if I spend actual hours being indecisive and trying to pick one...

This is pretty much my conflict about controlling "everything" in a town.

I wish villagers had some leeway to choosing where to move, but I wish they didn't move in such bad spots.

I wish for layouts to have that random, natural feel - but I also wish to fix up the problem areas in them, here and there - like rocks and buildings and such.

Personally, If the 'customize everything' idea came true, I hope it gets implemented gradually. That is, just like the shops taking time to upgrade, and works projects take time to get and build, I hope moving buildings and villagers would become an advanced privilege to achieve after several months of playing.

I feel like people are misusing the powers of moving villagers around, with this ridiculous 'straight line syndrome' that I see way too often in dreams. That's because people have gotten the moving privilege way too early: They didn't have time to experience the town layout, so it looks so bland to walk through.

Towns take time to develop, so I hope they implement these customization options in a careful, non-abusive manner.

This is what I was thinking. In my perfect world moving buildings and such would work like pwps. Spend a lot of bells to do it, then wait a few days. That way there's some weight to your decisions.
