You guys. I'm scared of the turantula

To be honest, even after playing Animal Crossing, it still gives me scares. I like that crawling sound, it's so cool. :]

It creeped me out at first, but I got used to it.
Just be brave and walk around. After you've caught a few it won't bother you as much.

I'm sorry to hear that. I personally think they're really cute. It's getting stung that startles me. But don't worry- the more you catch them the more they won't... bug you.

Yeah I know. They're arachnids. But by AC terms my joke still counts.

Tarantulas scare me. I'm absolute terrified by them. Like, there aren't even available right now, but I still get scared thinking they'll appear out of nowhere and attack me even when I don't have my net on. I get nightmares because of them.

Just remember that in real life they can make wonderful pets, and their mild venom (unless you're allergic) won't do any harm.

They are docile creatures.

True, my friend let me hold one (because I was scared) and it was calm. :]

I should make a guide but I guess next year.

I've never picked up a spider. I can handle snakes no problem.

I'd give handling one of those chilean rose or mexican red knee tarantulas a go!

Me too. Anything suddenly crawling around me that quickly makes me totally nervous! Same applies to in-game creatures, it seems.

Total arachnophobe, here. I can hardly stand virtual spiders any better than I can real ones, so having to track the tarantula down made me flip the eff out at first; all I heard at first was the hiss, and then I was waking up in front of my door at 1am.
Still, I wasn't leaving my encyclopedia unfinished. That doesn't mean I go out of my way to catch more of them, though.

I'm glad that they can't wander into and around your house...

Just tell yourself it cannot hurt you other than setting you back a bit if you get bit!
I know that, but the sound still makes me suprised sometimes since I am not use to hearing it.

they're cute! they're just fuzzy little creatures, dogs and cats are much bigger than them and can cause much more damage.

When I first started playing, they would startle me as they jump and bite me but now I have gotten used to them, but they still startle me from time to time if they jump at me from out of nowhere and I'm not expecting it.

Yeah, the tarantula and scorpion are kind of scary in game but I think it's fun to have creatures that fight back if you try to catch them.

Reading this almost made me vomit, thinking about them as pets makes me have so much anxiety oh my god.
I hate those hecking creatures and they always terrified me in this game too.

Yeah, I remember when I first had to go catch a tarantula, it scared to heck out me too. I didn't know that you had to walk around slowly and I was walking around all willy nilly and then all of a sudden I hear this chattering noise and then a hiss and before I knew it I ended up back at my house. I was like "what happened?" The after awhile I learned the way of the secret ninja technique to catch them. Now it's not so fun to catch them anymore when you know how. XD

I'm still afraid of them in real life though. :/

I have acnl for 5 years now and still no tarantula in my museum oop im just to scared lol

So, this thread gave me inspiration (basically scorpion in my profile picture)

I time traveled to July and already, since my town is developed, they can just appear behind PWPs and my bushes. :/

It's the sound the game uses for them. That's what startles me.

The spiders look CYOOT and cuddly. ^_^
