yay for amiibo cards

i purchased 4 amiibo cards of etsy and im kinda hype B) 3 are for my friends upcoming bday and 1 is specifically for me

i ordered:
Pietro (4 friend, i might use it myself too B) )
Merry (probably won't use. tho she's so cute aaaa)
Coco (already have her and i dislike her but my friend loves all her death references)
Wolfgang (for me B) )

...Anyway
So now im just wondering who i should replace with these amiibos. im thinking replace Spike for Wolfgang and Coco for Pietro, but I could go with kicking Lucy too, possibly gala,,,,, iDk

Good choices .

I personally would keep Spike, but if you like Wolfgang better or his design goes better with your theme than Spike, then go for it . What’s important is if you’re happy.

If you don’t like Coco, go for Pietro or whoever you like better (I personally advocate for Merry since I love her, but this is your island not mine ^.^). I’m sure your friend would understand since it is your island and it’s more important for you to be happy since you’re the one playing the game and spending more time on your island.

Sorry if that doesn’t help much. I don’t like being pushy about someone’s island with villagers I like lol.

I have 24 amiibo cards coming from Etsy and I'm so excited!

I haven't decided yet who I'll move into NH or when, because I'm still going for photos of a lot of my current island, but my NL town is getting a big villager makeover lol

I bought some amiibo cards a few months ago, and then i just...never ended up using them. I couldn’t bear to give up the chance to island hop, even in order to get villagers I knew I wanted.
I finally did use one, Agnes, so that I could give Kiki to a friend of mine who loves cats but could never find and cat villagers.

speaking of cats, though this was definitely not planned out this way, I really think Merry is super cute too. The one benefit to moving her in early, if at all, is it seems like she might be a villager it would be (relatively) easy to cycle out later on in favor of one you like better, whereas with one of your top favorites you probably won’t ever want to let them go.

on the other hand you are saucy Sheep, not saucy Cat, so maybe Pietro is the way to go.

I bought a few amiibos off Etsy too! I would definitely buy more.

I got Beau and Punchy’s cards because I knew I was gonna kick them off my island (too many lazies) but wanted to have a way to invite them back in case I missed them.

Then I got Kiki and Maple’s cards because I was sick of not seeing them up for adoption anywhere. Kiki was my no. 1 “dreamy” and I didn’t want to island hop for her.

those are some nice choices! i personally prefer spike over wolfgang but it all depends on who you like more! even if you decide to keep spike around, you’ll have wolfgang’s card so you can always swap them out whenever you like .

since you don’t like coco, i’d give her the boot, too; also, like @WaileaNoRei said, you have “sheep” in your name so,, it’s illegal to not invite pietro,,

im a bit worried to get him bc then it might ruin my curlos experience since they're... clones : P i've never had any other smug besides curlos lol

They are really nice so even if you don’t use them, they’re fun to keep in a binder and look at ; this is coming from someone that always loved collecting trading cards but rarely using them to play (partly since no one liked playing them back then or i had no friends collecting them). I’m still mad at them for the timing of the last patch but...I’ll probably ask for the WAs for xmas if they’re still in stock lol. I really want Tasha, Julia, Spike, Hornsby and the rest that I’m missing.

I still lowkey collect the cards (if only they weren't so expensive - and I'm very particular about them having the same design so I can't even switch to the cheaper NA cards)

Back then I bought an entire series 2 box after several people I knew said that would get you (close to) the whole series. Now it turns out that most of my dreamies are in series 2 and I'm SO GLAD I have the cards. Invited Alice the second I got access to the campsite scan, and now I'm not forced to take the rest if I happen across them on miles islands and can keep those houses open for poster unlocks.

honestly the functionality of amiibo cards is great, i just wish it wasn't so expensive to collect them (although just buying a few is actually affordable) so i don't own any :/

I’m planning on buying some on Etsy too. The designs people make for cards are honestly nicer than the official ones. I have a bunch of official ones but mostly villagers I don’t care about. I would like to get Felicity, Julian, Freya, Skye, and Kiki.

Hope it is okay to put this here, but I just got my first two packs of amiibo cards and I have not gotten any card packs in years and dang I just forgot how fun it is to open them up and see what you got! It was a pretty good haul too! I got ruby(!) and coco and also kitty, who I am very fond of. Plus two npc cards for characters I am actually aware of (though in general I was super not psyched about each pack including an npc card cause I don’t really care about those). I got Isabelle and jack! I did get agent s, who I dislike, and Gladys, whose card I bought from eBay...but overall good cards and just the fun of opening the packs and being surprised was really great.

I’ve still only ever moved in one villager by amiibo (in order to give a villager to a friend) and no plans to move in more at present, but I find is still do like having the option.

love that they are now $6 per pack not some crazy price gouge amount. Yes I already ordered more. And maybe I should get into some other trading cards? A fun but dangerous path...

I'm eagerly awaiting the re-release of the card packs at a nearby Gamestop as I only bought a few packs when they originally were for sale. I've never bought any specific cards online or anything, but if I did, it would be Lolly!

Haha, no worries! I get what you meant. I have been wanting to get into mtg cards more too (I didn’t get interested in them until later than most of my friends and it’s kind of a bummer) but it’s so dangerous money wise! Trying to control myself for now, but also bought a few more packs, just cause I’ve been overall pretty good at not spending this year! I do have to stop myself from going full on though. Self control is such a bummer
