This thread is probably unnecessary but I just wanted to celebrate. I've been trying to get Rudy in my town for a while now, and I literally had like 3 deals fall through on the trading board and I was getting really frustrated. Finally, last night, I had Zucker move out which brought my town down to 8 and I started villager resetting so I wouldn't get a random and the second plot that showed up? Rudy. :3

If I only knew about plot resetting :c how would you know when a villager's plot is there without using your mayor account? Also,grats!

It's super easy! All you do is set your 3DS system clock to the next day and then on the home screen instead of "continue" you'd instead choose "new save file." Then you proceed through making a new character in your town, go through Rover and all that, then finally once you're out of the train station you walk around your town and look for a plot. If there aren't any, or you get a villager/plot you don't like, you can just hit home and close the game without saving. If you like the villager and they're in a good space, then you go to Isabelle, then put down a house with Tom Nook, and then go back to Isabelle and she'll save the game for you. Then you can just delete that character if you like, and go on with your mayor. :3 A little time-consuming but 100% worth it!

Thanks for the reply! One more question, will numerous plots appear on the same day? Eg. I did not see a plot which means no one will be plotted the whole day.

Nope, only one will show up! But a certain villager/no villagers isn't tied to a certain day, meaning every time you reset the same date it should be a different outcome.
