Hope the crack does not ruin his songs but then again it might be a blessing in disguise and he is able to step on Tortimer's Island again since his wife, Leilani banned him from stepping foot on the island because his singing annoys her according to Katrina

Yeah kappn is mostly fine and I don’t mind the teasing two players, but there are a few comments he makes that seem off-putting if ur a girl character. Knowing that “creepy/lecherous old man” is a classic japanese trope that’s commonly played for laughs makes it hard for me to see it as anything else.

Hopefully if they bring him back in NH he’ll not make comments like that, or at least they’ll give him lines that can be more clearly interpreted as “fatherly” rather than creepy.

I’m usually against “toning down” stuff in this series (i miss resetti and the more ‘dynamic’ villagers) but when it’s stuff that could be easily taken as harrassment I think it ought to be righted

Side note, I definitely did not expect this of all threads to become an interesting conversation, ggs everyone

Resetti was only removed because young kids thought he was scary
he kinda is tho ngl

He makes weird comments to female players, hitting on them. When you have a girl and a boy villager going to the island together, he assumes they're a couple and makes comments about being a third wheel. He bothers me! I'm tired of creepy old men.

I think they should have just put his brother in NH, he isn't creepy as Resetti.

I miss Kapp’n. I remember playing ACNL years ago and going on the island and listening to all his songs. Of course, his songs got repetitive and I just learned to skip over them. Still, I wish I can go back to a fun island like that.

I think that bastart stole me two times. I'm pretty sure I had the items when going to the island but they never return with me, so I keep an eye open when he said that he may return my stuff
