I am proud to call Obama the next president.

I believe he will help our country if anything by just raising morale. I find it weird that we have a economic system that runs on what we feel, and not what is actually there....
THANK YOU.

Oh, and I'm back.

It doesn't. :/ They tell you consumer spending needs to happen to fix the economy. That is nothing but a lie. This is exactly what happened in the 20s that led to the Depression. People need to be saving, not spending.

So if you think Obama will be good because of emotions... sorry, but that's not going to be enough.

I was thinking more of the stock market... as in that thing that is completely dependent on whether people are investing or not, and how on days where bad things happen bad things happen to the market and on days when things look like they will get better they often do just cause. Have I ever said I hate economics?

No, but Obama supporters in general. None of the McCain supporters at my school or other places come up to me just to say Obama sucks. NO It's only the general public of Obama supporters.

And the general supporters of Mccain can be quoted as saying Obama is an Arab, and claiming it is a bad thing. Might be proof that being middle eastern is worse than black right now. This is just blatant stereotyping, ignorant, wrong morally, and wrong factually.

Why do people fear the different?

Ironically that statement you made was stereotyping. :gyroidtongue:

yup. I mean, I don't trash him because of his race/background, but because his ideas sound like he pulled them out of the fire, that Clinton and Carter both made, dusted them off, and running them off as his own!

I was going for ironic based on his statements. The comments of some do not reflect the comments of all in a group. But I don't think I would be wrong to say that there is definately a group of people who support Mccain and are racist and intolerant of other religions. Not that their aren't people like that on Obama's side either because there are, though may be less voiced and more of a minority.

Either way I think there are some views that came to light during this election that I utterly disagree with in my core.

According to Time 97% of blacks voted for Obama and most of them did just because of his skin color. I'm sick of people saying I'm racist cause I don't like Obama, Voting FOR someone just because of their race is just as bad as being AGAINST them,

voting for someone because of race is still racist true, but 85 percent of blacks voted for Kerry so it is not "mostly due to his skin", it is mostly due to what party looks out for them more.

I also did say there were racists on Obama's side and did not say you in particular were racist. But there were racist supporters for both candidates and the white population is just bigger, and therefore likely to have more racists than blacks because of the fact that they are a smaller demographic.

Doubt it...

not that it matters anymore though, heh

well also, a lot of people that i know just voted for him because he was black and wanted a change (of clothes)

Blacks have traditionally voted for the Democratic candidate in most every modern-day Presidential race. Kerry received over 80% of the black vote, as did Gore, Clinton, etc... Obama got 95%, yes, and some of the votes had to do with his skin color, but guess what? Only 47% of whites voted for Obama. What does that tell you?
