My new 3ds just shut off twice in my game...
It turned off completely. UGH, it's wierd it goes all black and shiz.
I really don't wanna send it off to be repaired, last time I left it to my mother she didn't do it.

I think that these two unintended shutdowns aren't enough to have your hardware sent to a repair center, especially when this happened twice in a row out of sudden. If this issue persists in the coming days, it would be a good time to set up a repair.

It could be possible to accidentally hold the power button down without noticing it at all, or the battery not properly staying in its place. Or perhaps even that the hardware itself is defective in a similar fashion to my old Japanese Ice White 3DS is by causing occasional freezes in some of the loading sections of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. But then again, I don't know what's actually causing your New 3DS to randomly shutdown.

It happened a couple of months ago too, but I stopped using it then came back and it was ok for a month

If it's the battery causing an issue it should be an easy fix. You can find one on eBay for a cheap price, but you would have to unscrew your 3DS to put it in. I heard if you do stuff like that it voids warranties, but if you don't have one it might be worth a shot if repairs are too expensive.

I have free warranty but my mum didnt do it, and I can't do it. She's annoying :/

try using it more and if the problem continues then hound your mom to send it to nintendo
