This:
http://acforums.megadoomer.com/index.php

Is WAY different than this:
http://forums.the-bell-tree.com/index/

No little kids, no spam, no ignorant people.

I'm just stating my opinion.

I've been with the first site for ... 3 years maybe?
Since the site was first developing ...

I've been with TBT for a couple months.
Just take the "No" away from 3 sentence ...

All of the "No"s.

I'm not saying I hate TBT, I'm just comparing two AC forums that I go to.

Meh. The spam, ignorant people, and spam just make TBT fun ;]

edit: TBT is a lot more organized....there's like a million boards there.

I have to agree with Jenn on this. (Strange ...)

By the way, I am in no way, shape or form saying that TBT is a bad site.
Oh, I understand. Don't worry. :P

The spam is without a doubt one of the WORST qualities of TBT. The problem is there is so much of it that it's too much for the staff to handle.

Yowch.

I know how you feel ...
Kind of.

Maybe if we had less spam and more mature users, TBT would be a better place.

Wasn't that the TBT that existed around the time when AC:CF was released?
I mean, everyone was new, trying out new stuff, meeting new friends.
*sigh* Oh how I miss the old days.

Not going to happen, unfortunately.

The thing is, most members join at a young age-anywhere from the age of 10 - 14. So generally, most members start out somewhat ignorant and noobish. (I hate using that word, btw.) Then, overtime the members slowly mature and become active and helpful members to the community.

However, the problem is that we have such a younger user base that all fit under the stereotype I mentioned earlier, that we're being slammed with spam and nonsense.

So I'm hoping that within a year, most of this all stops, but if it doesn't we're going to have to make a lot of changes.

Old days? You've been here 6 months, some of us have been here for four years.

Also, see signature.

I don't think it's ever gonna stop though.
I mean, yes, the current members will probably mature, but what about the new ones that take their place?

@Mino: To me, the old days were from December 27, 2008 to around February.

But than there some people who stay on the forums for a long time still are far away from helping the TBT community and sometimes cause spam and other annoying things.

By the way, my age poll showed there were at least twenty semi-active users over a few days that were under 13, not to mention the countless 13-15 year olds that can be just as annoying.

That's because they probably think that more posts/better color of the name equals respect.
